but holy hell, these ads almost *almost* make me want to play WoW again.

If they get Allakhazam, their campaign will be complete.

What the hell? When did they change it so that Mr. Norris turns into Allakhazam, haha?

*sigh* You programmers *looks at Dana* have too much time on your hands, clearly.

It's done that for a couple of years. You obviously don't discuss the bearded one often enough.

You must be older than 14, hmmmm?

If you play Vanguard, you can be the last of the Mohicans.

Twice as old, and getting older all the time, unfortunately.

At least I'll never be as old as Smasharoo.

Pretty funny, I'll admit. I would like to see Christopher Walken in one of those, just cause he's freakin' awesome and I'd be curious as to what angle they would put on it.

At the behest of DSD, I tried WoW and I just couldn't get into it. I tried and tried and tried. I guess I'm just such a little Mooglebaster.

I tried WoW too and thought it sucked compared to EQ2. Oh, the time suckage.

I'm pretty sure you would end up the bastee, not the baster.

Mr T. was funny, Shat was just his lame old over the top self. I will admit I was 2 seconds from looking for my CD's again.

I tried WoW before Snoggy had a personality separation and I just couldn't get back into it after that.

I've read that SOE may be starting new, time-lock based progression servers for EQ. I'll probably end up playing it again.

Huh. If that's true, I wonder if they'll do it right this time. As in, take out the ability to research spells from three expansions into the future, remove the Hot Zone augment & equipment drops, etc.

Seems extremely unlikely to me that they'll do that much work.

I just want to stand in the EC tunnel again for hours at a time. I'll be happy with that.

Makes me wonder what the point is then. Of course, if it's time based rather than Nagafen-zerg based, I suppose the extra bells & whistles don't affect so much.

Apparently the devs listened to you. They significantly speeded up the leveling process, which I thought was pretty fast already.

I think I tried EQ2 much, much too early. It just wasn't a finished game. Not Vanguard unfinished, but not smooth.

I've been having fun in EQ2. They really changed a lot. I need "casual friendly" and EQ2's got it now. And at the same time, it seems (IMO) to have more depth than WoW. I don't hate WoW, and I'm sure once the expansion comes out I'll try it again. But for now, I'm creeping through Norrath with my iksar assassin, rawr.

I really enjoyed EQII when I was playing it recently, and agree entirely that it's got a great mix of casual-friendly and depth, but I hate that everyone from here who plays it is so far east of me. Any more, by the time I could settle in and play something it's around midnight on the east coast.

Maybe I'll fire up my subscription again, though, because I do like giving people false hope that I'll actually be in game with them.

I just started last week, and as you know I'm on MTN time so only 1 hour difference. I"m enjoying it thus far, got my Sarnak SK up to level 16 already. I'm still in the phase where I'm trying out multiple classes to see what I enjoy the most though.

I'm leaning towards being able to say I'll be playing this one until Age of Conan comes out. The more I read about that one the more I'm looking forward to trying it in March.
