Here's pics of the fam on our first Halloween in NC. I am exhausted! Our neighborhood is so damn vast, and filled with Town homes and homes. I think we only hit 25% and still came home an hour later with Xaviers bucket overflowing. A lot of fun, the neighbors rocked, and I thought I'd be the mom and share photos.

Cpt Ashe on his first Halloween

Pterodactyl on the loose

Ugliest Pumpkin ever, along with its creator

Cpt Ashe, First mate DSD, and Xavierdactyl just before trekking out

While Xavier could have gone on indefinitely, Ashe was ready for bed

Kids finally in bed, and I'm ready to raid their goodies!

You can't beat 72 degree weather, nice and sunny so no snow suits were forced to be worn over the costumes. I hope you all had a rockin time!

I'm sure he was a lovely man. She wanted to go see him, so her Dad and I looked at each other and let her run off while we stayed way back over here. That's a zoom lens there.

Joph Jr's costume was awesome. The best part was that speaking to his 4' tall self was like talking to a black-garbed Jawa.

Yeah, that was the first thing I thought of when I saw that pic, then realized the robe was black and he was carrying a scythe.

Per Mr. Pikko, I'm no longer allowed to post pics of the kiddies for any person to see, so I'll just share details.

We took the kids around the in-laws' neighborhood with their two cousins, which was a lot more fun than last year. Baby Girl was a fairy princess with really huge wings and Buddy was Dracula. I really wish I could show the pictures of Buddy here, cause it was such a cute outfit! He kept running away crying whenever I asked him to put it on and finally he stood still when I bribed him with those Gerber puffs. Later, he flat out refused to take photos with his cousins crying and yelling, "nooooo! nooooo!" and I was begging him to just stand by the wall when he goes, "Puff?" and as soon as I said "ok" that little twerp stood there and smiled ear to ear. Smiley: motz

He still doesn't talk more than a few words, but he was very into the trick or treating. Unable to say "trick or treat", he'd simply say "BOO!" to everyone, it was so funny. Baby Girl, finally old enough to realize that people are giving her free candy, was screaming trick or treat at the doors repeatedly until they came. Smiley: lol

Unfortunately for him, he inherited his dad's eyebrows. Which means in 13 years or so, the dreaded unibrow will begin filling in. Poor guy.

The pics of Dr. Mia are ont he other camera so here's one of her preparing for the big event!

Even though he wasn't trick or treatin' I inexplicably dressed Jack like a chicken for a brief period.

So many possible captions.

"Ahh... ahhhhh.... achoooo!"
"Dude, this is some potent stuff. Who's your dealer?"

And my favorite:

"Dave's not here, man."

Neither of the boys got their dad's unibrow. Nope, the daughter had to get cursed with it. 8 years old and already tweezing a bit.

If we have a girl and she gets it, I think I'll just offer her laser hair removal or electrolysis as a birthday present when she gets old enough to care, because Mr. Ambrya has one brutal unibrow. Even he plucks a bit. Bert on Sesame Street has nothing on this puppy.
