I love blowing up marshmallow peeps in the microwave. Can't imagine wanting to eat one, I think they are nasty.

The early trick or treaters didn't even try knocking on my door, since I had the porch light off and was busy trying to repair 3 rows of knitting mistakes.

I didn't want to reward them anyway, since they had been talking about how they wish they had eggs with them, while out earlier throwing their football up and down my street.

Once I had gotten the stitches all back on the knitting needles, I got out the candy and then sat on the porch until Jonwin game home. I had no more then 10 kids come by and only 4 were in costume. Then I went inside and waited for in Son-in-law to come by and went to my daughter's house.

They always go all out in decorating their front yard and porch. Past years they done the whole vampire/graveyard theme, and made trick or treaters knock on a coffin to receive their candy. Since Jamie didn't want to spend the evening stuck in the coffin again, they went with pirates this year. They still had all the coffins out, but added more bones, skeletons and skull and crossbones flags. The guillotine is too big to take down each year, so they normally have it up next to the porch and then place down in the yard, when they start decorating their year with orange lights and gravestones a month earlier.

People drive from across town just to see what they done each year. A lot of them have to be talked into coming up onto the porch for their candy. We do take pity on those who aren't brave enough though and will bring down some candy to them, if they at least make it all the way to the steps.

Their are a few who just walk by, too scared to go near a house were people say witches live (Wiccan) and is known to be hunted. We find a lot of folks around here are scare of cats, of which the house seems to arrack in large numbers. The cats seem to take much delight in running past folks as they come up to the porch and seeing them jump. Salem sat at the corner of the porch watching the fun. He's all black and just loves attention. (He is known to **** on everything he doesn't want in the house.)

The police at the station around the corner, get a lot of calls about the house and just tell everyone that they are good witches and very nice folk.

I wish someone like that lived in my hometown when I was a kid. That would have been cool as hell.

No kids here either. But then, I don't think kids ever trick or treat in my condo complex. I'm assuming it's probably some rule or something that I just never bothered to read. Sad really, cause the area I'm in is densely packed condos. You'd think that it would be an ideal trick or treat spot.

I think they all go down to some rec center nearby or something. But hey! That's more candy for me! :)

They were all busy sifting through the ashes of their homes, looking for half-melted Barbies, scorched "Perfect Attendance" awards and the blackened bones of their kitten.

Hamsters actually. One of my Goddaughter's schoolmates forgot her hamster in the 15 minute rush to leave their home before it was engulfed in flames. Poor thing...

They're all of $7 at PetsMart. Tell her to get her lazy *** a job and buy a new one.
