I enjoyed it highly , but don't recommend full magic user to anyone looking for a challenge , when you get to the part where you can make your own spells , you can make some ghastly 50 ft radius bomb for clearing tunnels. and rooms in seconds.
I mostly found heart with a sneaky archer/assassin. Hand to hand main non ranged weapon , nothing like sneaking up behind someone and punching them in the back of the head for 6x damage (hand to hand gets huge sneak attack bonuses)

it was a great change from elder scrolls 3. That game was way too detailed for me to even understand it.

This would be exactly my point in a nutshell. He's who they design games for 95% of the time. A 3 minute learning curve and no depth. Who can blame them? His money's as good as mine. not that I'd pay for software, but notwithstanding that...

Don't get me wrong, Morrowind was great, and I was very interested in it. Once I beat the game however, (Or at least I thought I beat it..) it just became very complicated. If they just made Oblivion like Morrowind, but just added a journal, I would of been just as happy.

The only thing I didn't care for was the scalability of every enemy. Rats still attack you when you're level 15, only now they are level 15 too.

There are a few mods that will take care of this problem. I get mine from www.tessource.net. There are some crazy mods out there that can entirely change the game. Obscuros Oblivion Overhaul is a nice one.

Talk about one, then, because Oblivion blows. It's not involved. It's follow the arrow quests with nice graphics.

I hate to agree, but I do. Oblivion is the only RPG game that has ever made me fall asleep every single time I've either watched or played it. Watching paint dry is more interesting/involving.
