I never did get attacked, or reprimanded. Just strong words, and as well all know strong words are for admins and housewives.

Cynical me. My first thought is that his ex wanted to fUCk with him, not in the fun way but in the "I know what your reaction to this is going to be and I hope they send you to da big house" way.

Ditto.

But I guess if she were that type of gal, the guy would be familiar enough with her antics not to come out swinging.

You would hope, anyway.

My first thought was that he's making it up (the guy, not bodhi).

It does sound a little* self-aggrandizing. He probably went out for drinks with his work buddies and lost track of time.

*And by that I mean infinitely

I remember when Mr. Thumb went on one of his 6-month Navy cruises, some guy in his shop really didn't want to go on cruise. About a month into the deployment, the guy's wife claims that she was raped. The guy was sent home to be with her.

We found out later that her husband discovered she was having an affair so to to cover up her amorous straying, she accused her boyfriend of rape. They have since gotten divorced.

Lol sure, that whole storming out and quitting when 3 people with larger fleets offered to play chicken with your planet wasn't the same thing at all was it? You got your pee pee smacked and your mangina couldn't tolerate the kind of abuse that was being promised if you followed through with your plans. So you took your toys, stomped your feet in frustration and went home.

well sadly your MT will spend some time in jail for this. justified or not, what he did was in violation of the law.

with that said, good on him. rapists child molesters, etc... all deserve more of a beat down then that guy got.

That is sad. I can't imagine the kind of effect that would have on the wrongly accused. Even worse to go through the torment of thinking your love one has been abused horribly and then to find out that it was all a sham. That has got to be the worst betrayal.

That is the first thing I said on Vent. I grew up in a small town and know that a lot of the drama is invented. In fact I had to give a sworn statement to the police when I was in grade 12 when a girl just up and charged the VP with attempted rape. I was in the room waiting to get ******* at for a stunt involving a urinal puck and nothing happened the entire time but when things weren't looking good for her in terms of getting permanently expelled she decided to bring the rape card into play.

I've been raiding with the guy for about 5 months now in 2 different guilds. We chat on vent on off time and he seems like a cool guy. From what I recall he and the wife split but they still talked every day and it in terms of break ups it wasn't particularly hateful, it just happened. Who knows though, just a random guy I talk to over vent and in a MMO, not like I know his life story.

Very foolish of him to just to break bones first and ask questions later, speaks poorly for him (to put it lightly). Though like a lot of people the gut reaction is "if the guy did try to rape the ex, he got exactly what was coming to him".

If I recall I was playing WoW and Ogame and the ex-girlfriend frowned upon both (DSD knows what I am talking 'bout, she ******* the same when I raided 2 nights a week in EQ2). I played chicken with you and had a lot of threats thrown my way but no action and I was getting bored (reason for attacking you in the first place) so I decided to cut Ogame out of the equation.

Cancelled my account and was waiting for it to self delete, took a couple days if I remember. I actually tried to log back on and send one final assault at you but I found out in the day or so I had been gone my fleet had been hit by some dude so I figured it wasn't worth the effort.

/shrug

If it makes you feel tough to feel that your somewhat amusing whining had any affect on my leaving the game, feel free to run with it.

Well at least tell me this, which ends up resulting in more dps...

hahahaha

I'm glad a thread on the possible rape of some woman turned into a (not even new or original) fight about ******* Ogame.

I heart this board.

Beyond the vigilantism of the act, what I'd question is an ex-wife's word. Unless this is the waaaay out of the norm divorcee situation where two individuals got married, then mutually agreed that it was a workable mistake, thus ending in utter and blissful platonicity, I can't imagine that most people would so readily believe a former spouse and place themselves in harm's way from the law and retaliation.

I can understand the emotional response, but to actually act on such urges is a quick path to incarceration, life debilitating financial ruin, and possible broken bones and/or death.

Seriously, would any of you divorcees on this board trust your entire life on the word of your former spouse? That's just craaaazy.

Lol my brother ran in to him at a party the other night. He kept asking my brother about me. Kept going on about how he still loved me and how big of a **** up he was for letting me go. My brother just laughed and told him I was happily married to a man that was 10000x better than he ever was. Funny the way things come full circle.

'm here hoping that the guy made up the whole story as an exciting excuse for missing a raid.

Ding Ding Ding.

Translation to real life: The guy found out his ex wife was boning someone and was sad.

A more likely scenario just played out in my mind:

Ex-wife: "OMG a friend of mine just tried to rape me!"

MT: "No, a friend of mine." *click*
