Well there goes downing Vashj in SSC this weekend. The MT didn't show last night and after some phonecalls and emails we got a reply explaining why.

His ex-wife called him sobbing. Once he calmed her down she explained to him that a friend had tried to rape her. The MT told his boss he had to leave the construction site early, grabbed a thick metal bar. Drove a couple counties over, knocked on the guys door. The guy answered the door.

First swing of the metal bar hit the attempted rapist in the jaw and broke it, also wasn't too friendly to the guys teeth. The second one connnected with the left arm breaking that as well, third broke the guys right arm at the elbow. Needless to say he ruined the guys sh'it.

While raid progression might be shot for awhile depending on how drama plays out for him all I can say is motherf'ucking kudos. Also, here's to hoping his ex-wife isn't one of the few crazy women that cry rape when they are pissed at someone).

"There's this passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17."

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

While I do think a good beatdown should be among the mandatory punishments for all rapists and attempted rapists, I do have to wonder why the woman didn't call the cops. I mean, if some man tried that with me, I'd want his *** facing attempted rape charges.

Starting now you have 5mins to find all the inconsistancies, illogically gained conclusions and OMG moments in the above excerpt.

Agreed. I also wouldn't want my hurt and grief over the incident to be compounded by the potential for a loved one to be injured or imprisoned.

Hell yeah, rapist scum.

Really, let's just approve of this guy's vigilantism because we feel so passionately about the accusation. FUck due process. FUck the rights of the accused. FUck innocent until proven guilty, that kind of **** is for pUssies. She says she was raped, so let's just condemn him before we have any shred of evidence.

Your guildie belongs in prison.

It's true. And as they say, the road to hell was paved with good intentions.

This actually reminds me of that tragic case (last year, I think?) where some guy flipped out because something his two year old said could be interpretted by the overzealous to mean that the next door neighbor had done something inappropriate to her. The guy went next door and killed him.

There was absolutely no evidence that anything had ever happened, and the guy is in prison now. It's a shame that some people are so overwhelmed by emotionally charged issues that they resort to such irrational measures, doing nothing but causing further injury and pain to everyone involved.

I'm here hoping that the guy made up the whole story as an exciting excuse for missing a raid.

I'm torn. On one hand I agree with the people saying she should have called the cops. On the other hand there is my own personal experience that is still crying out for retribution that is cheering people like your guildie on.

The best thing he could have done for her was drive over to her house, given her a hug, and driven her to the hospital while calling the cops to meet them there.

Smiley: nod

Dude better hope his ex has some proof of the alleged attack, either way he's likely going to end up in jail.

Well you guys are hearing teh story third or fourth hand.

While the gut reaction is ********** yeah" I really have to agree with BT. Aggravated assault is only going to land your *** in prison. Plus you never know, I remember when one guy I know was going through a particularly bad break up with his girlfriend she started going crazy. He ended up having to get a restraining order and when it went into affect she told her brother that she had been hit by the boyfriend. Of course the brother went and beat the **** out of her on her word, though it wasn't true.

Oh well, hopefully we can gear someone up or find a replacement.

Yeah, thats the right thing to do and I agree. But being on the other side of the equation and looking back I still wish sometimes that I could hurt him in a way that he would never forget, the way he did me. It may be ill conceived or the wrong thing to do but part of me goes beyond hating him, part of me wants to torture him and watch him die in a screamingly agonizing way.

So I can understand the train of thought that leads to people extracting their own form revenge on these kinds of people. Doesn't make it right, I agree.

On the totally opposite end of the spectrum, I never felt like torturing the girl who falsely accused me of rape. She irrevocably changed my life, but I never wanted her dead, or traumatized. If anything, the predominant feeling I've had concerning her is pity, because it must have sucked for her to carry such a huge lie and to feel so trapped that it was all she could do.

I guess that's just proof that rape victims are cruel, vindictive people.
