What have you chumps got going on this weekend?

Today I'm babysitting for a friend, taking kids swimming and going out for Mexican supper. Tomorrow I'll be working out, cleaning house and maybe swinging by to see DSD in her new pad. Smiley: grin Sunday we have a BBQ to go to and I have to get around to making a key lime pie. Yum!

Today I am working my butt off to try and get enough of a tip up going so I can buy a decent costume for rocky horror picture show tomorrow,

Going to said show saturday with female , pertaining to whom I am currently locked in mortal kombat with other guy for said girl, and the choice between the two of us as more than just friends seems close at hand :x.

If I win, much celebration , If I lose , I shall move into a lesbian coven that invited me to a pot luck thanksgiving , and offered to let me stay there whenever I wished.

Also : Booze, and serving Com service for an MiP , which I got during an unofficial wine celebration for the place I work , which requires me to have an alcohol servers license. The irony is slight on the taste buds , and will quickly be burnt off with 151.

Have some girls coming over tonight for chat, nothing much else planned for the weekend besides a haircut. I love that the side-job is slowing down, because I really need a nice, restful weekend right about now.

House cleaning for sure. Possibly a trip to the mountains to see if the leaves are changing yet (stupid drought). Other than that, a whole lot of nothin'.

Yay! I'm glad you liked it!

Some things you can do to make it a little less...umm..full of fat: Use some egg beaters in substitution for eggs (I wouldn't go further than half and half though), and use some or all evaporated skim milk to substitute for the heavy cream.

Lifting my father-in-law's house to replace a termite infested sill plate. My dad and I plan to run an I-beam under the house at the side that is sinking and raise it back to it's original height and replace the rotten wood in the sill and joists. There's only about 18" of crawl space under the house, I'm really not looking forward to it Smiley: frown

Pumpkin carving, a little of the side-work Flea mentions, giving the front lawn a final mowing, re-setting the Halloween decorations that were torn up in the recent wind storms and staying out of the way of Flea's girlfriends.

In happy news, I got my first paycheck since cancelling my work insurance and going on Flea's policy. It'll be an extra $450 a month for us with a pretty minimal add to her own deductions. Point being that more cash = good.

Speaking of more cash, mid November will be my (hopefully) final court date for the child support case. It should be a pretty by-the-books blessing from the State of Illinois although I expect we'll be back soon enough to handle wage garnishment because I doubt she'll pony up voluntarily. In fact, given that she's been silent through most of this endeavor aside from a single e-mail, I don't expect that she'll show up for the judgement at all.

I really don't know what to do with myself this weekend. I normally work midnight shift seven days a week, and I have this weekend off.

Are there any movies playing now that are worth watching?

I don't know your tastes, but the new Julie Taymor film is supposed to be good.

Hoping Jonwin takes the time to talk to the guys working on the roof next store, about our getting the gutter clean and roof re papered over our bedroom. Water been coming through the brick wall and the plaster is crumbing on wall.

I spend my weekend online or knitting, to fill my time. Hoping to hear from the shop that has Jonwin's computer on how much damage his computer suffer, when the power supply died 2 nights ago. He been talking about getting a new HD and more memory, so if costs go over $200, he just get a new computer.

When his brother walk into Little Shop of Hardware, he says that it was his kind of computer shop. He had notice a Dos 5.8 Upgrade box on the selves. They save just about anything that still works. Since we're friends with everyone there, they don't ask for a deposit and as gamers they know how to soup up rigs.

We don't have plans for Jonwin's day off Sunday, since I only now beginning to feel recover from last Sunday hanging out at the Renn Faire. Everyone from Little Shop was there, but Steve Archer, since he just got back from doing a tour in Europe. I am waiting for my copy of new cd South, that I pre order from his band to arrive in the mail.

Grinding in LoTRO this evening.

Saturday, a rather nice dinner date with a recent work acquaintance, followed by decent tickets to the opera.

Sunday, chilling, laundry, LoTRO and a bit of work.
