Cool 'kins, Tricky.

Mia and I carved one the other day - kinda run of the mill as pumpkins go but it was fun because it was Mia's first. SHe was absolutely amazed at the pumpkin guts. Smiley: clown

You know how when you see a really good film, and then you want to watch it again and again, with all of your friends who haven't seen it before?

I'm guessing having kids is like that constantly. All of life becomes a "first" again.

We'll be carving tomorrow, I have a mario pattern I drew from the Super Mario 64 load screen that I'll be doing. I believe my wife is going to be doing something involving Snoopy.

We haven't carved it yet because we didn't want it to rot before Halloween. This weekend though, probably.

Do you do anything special when you roast em? Or just a little salt and oil(I like sesame oil for them, myself)?

Daughter, for whatever reason, is fascinated with the tiny pumpkins. We have lots of those scattered around the house. Apparently, she thinks the pumpkins get hurt when we carve them.

I usually just salt and oil them, but I occasionally like to change the seasoning a little bit and add a tiny bit of garlic powder and paprika.

I'll have to try the garlic powder and paprika when my roommate carves his next pumpkin(he did the other one too soon and it rotted).

If you like spicy, a little chili powder in the mix is yummy.

The Pac Man punkins are great.

We'll do ours this weekend. Probably only one. Some years I get 2 or 3, but I'm just not into it this year.

Sounds like me as a little kid, before I discovered the joy of stabbing pumpkins with big knives. Smiley: lol

I used to do very elaborate carvings before having the kiddo...stuff like haunted houses with ghosts and bats flying around and then words on the back, like Happy Halloween, backwards to project on whatever wall I had the pumpkins in front of. They take a long time though. I think maybe when Hannah's a bit older, I'll start doing them again.

I did two last year and man did my back hurt like crazy afterwards. My arms felt like rubber the next day from all the scraping too. D:
