Mike Duncan, chairman of the Republican National Committee, just held a teleconference to tell reporters the RNC has sent letters to five states telling them that they will lose 50 percent of their delegates to the national convention in Minneapolis because they are [breaking] party rules by holding their primaries too early.
The fives states are New Hampshire, Florida, South Carolina, Michigan and Wyoming.
Duncan also complains about the DNC's means of getting states into compliance but that's neither here nor there towards me saying "Attaboy" to the RNC for trying to bring the primary leap-frogging under control.
Meh, let um keep moving the primaries up as much as they want, both parties. It's bound to backfire on them somehow. Maybe they'll run outta campaign money by summer and us short-tentioned americUns will forget their candidate.
But yeah, I'll agree 'good move' of the part of the RNC.
