I have a friend who dated him (true story), and she said he's pretty much the perfect date: very interested in you, very courteous and considerate, and that it's quite the l'il thrill to get all his attention. She also said, surprisingly, that he has quite the dry sense of humour.

And yes, she's tall and blonde and gorgeous. Apparently he has a type, that one.

A movie theater I worked at a few years back had David Copperfield come in late one night after a local show to see a movie. It was near 1:00 AM and the theater was just shutting down when he showed up at the back door with his lady friend and her little dog (who was stuffed in a purse).

The managers got to him quickly and of course obliged to his requests; the man wanted to watch Jimmy Neutron. The manager also asked him if they'd like any popcorn (even though the poppers had been shut down and cleaned), and Copperfield replied that he would like a small popcorn. That was it. Had to pop a whole fresh batch just to get him a small one.

He was really kind of creepy-seeming, very timid, very "lurking". But the small-popcorn-eating, Jimmy-Neutron-watching-at-1AM man made for one hell of a laugh afterwards.

GTFOing of the Asylum now, just thought I'd share.

His skills must have deserted him, or else he would have been able to make the warehouse disappear before the Feds showed up.

Further details:

Quote:
Illusionist David Copperfield is at the center of an FBI investigation after a Seattle woman accused him of raping her in the Bahamas.

FBI agents seized cash and items in a raid on a Las Vegas warehouse owned by the magician on Wednesday.

Among the items confiscated were a computer hard drive and a digital camera memory chip.

Copperfield's attorney, David Chesnoff, insists the sexual misconduct charges against his client are false.

He says, "Unfortunately false allegations are all too often made against famous individuals.

"We are confident the investigation will conclude favorably. We are in touch with the investigators and are respecting the confidentiality of the investigation."

When Copperfield pressed one of the red-nippled breasts of a nude mannequin, the electronic lock on a mirrored door deactivated, and he and Jay stepped into the main warehouse space …

Hahahahahaaa!

Perhaps more hilarious that someone rate camped all my posts with pics of David in them. Not a Copperfield fan I guess. Or an enemy to mullets. Or actually quite jealous of the hair masterpiece that David is sporting. Or an aspiring magician that can't walk through the Great Wall of China. Pansy.
