This might just be an indication of the con job that politicians do on what they SAY they are for in media sound bites, compared with what the EFFECTS of their policies would actually really be.

For instance, a party might SAY and advertise for years and years that they are all about family values and making families more safe and prosperous, but the actual policies they enact actually really create more stresses and strains on families, and make their lives harder overall, rather than better.

PS, you don't have to tell them who you voted for. Smiley: sly

I would say it depends on what you're wearing, but in all honesty I could rub it out regardless.

Kucinich, Dodd, and Edwards are my top three, with three old white guys as my least comparables.

Too bad I already bought an Edwards tee. \m/_ _\m/

It's not just the fact that he's never worked in an executive capacity (which, for the record, is a more likely path to the presidency than Congress), but the fact that he hasn't even worked in a legislative capacity effectively for very long ('98). He also voted for the Patriot Act. Meh. I don't hate the guy. I obviously agree with him on many issues. I just don't think he's the guy. Too early yet in his career. As winsome as Obama is, I think the same of him.

Yeah, but Edwards is a WHITE guy. Which, for the record, is the only possible path to the presidency in this country. Nominating Clinton or Obama would be a mistake of huge proportions. Haven't we had enough of losing elections that should be automatic wins over ludicrous issues that bear no relevance whatsoever on the office?

People in this country simply will not elect a woman or a black man. In point of fact, even having a woman or a black man as VP choice is almost certainly enough to destroy any campaign. It'd be dandy if that weren't the case, but it is. It's a shame and everything, but it's part of democracy. Democracy allows base prejudice to decide elections by design, and pretending it doesn't matter isn't noble or optimistic, it's just stupid. I'm all set with having the moral victory of having voted for Clinton or Obama while privacy rights are destroyed by a 6/3 conservative SCOTUS.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Oh I don't disagree, but I'd rather have the 'moral' victory of voting for who I feel is the best shot, like our Founding Pops and Apple Pie intended.

If Guiliani is the Pubbie (which I feel he will be) and Edwards is the Dem, it doesn't matter we didn't pick the ***** or the darkie, because the Presidency is a popularity contest, as you just hinted, and our girl just ain't that popular compared to Buffy McNineeleven.

I'm really messed up in ze head i guess.

Guliani R
Biden D
Edwards D
Kucinich D

And then after that it pretty much goes republican - democrat - republican - democrat and so on.

The interesting part is the 4 way tie:

Clinton - Hukabee - Obama - Brownback All @21 pts.

I guess it just reafirms what i've always thought. I'm neither a democrat or a republican.
