Only a 5 for Anne Heche?

I'd have figured that she had the clinically insane vote locked up.

Kucinich with 39. Not a surprise, every similar quiz I take matches up with him, and I would prefer him if he could win. Apparently we disagree on Immigration and the Death Penalty.

But I disagreed on Immigration with all of them except for Tom Tancredo.

That's ok, according to the results, I am as well. I just figure that it's not my fault if so many people in one party happen to come to the right conclusion as I did. Enlightenment isn't for everyone folks. Smiley: tongue

Just randomly assigned choices at max importance level, on my second try there was interspersing of GOP and Dem, so apparently it doesn't assign a party first then points second.

Edwards at 41, Dodd at 39 and then Barack and Hilary tied at 38. At one point I would always match up to Kuchinich, but I guess I outgrew the Smurfs. I agree a lot with Edwards on paper, I just wish he wasn't so patently unqualified.

It's completely, utterly, impossible for anyone other than someone who's worked in the highest levels of the Executive to be "qualified" for the job. It's not like the day to day grind of presiding over Arkansas' monthly chicken output and cousin marriage rate somehow makes one more ready to lead the most powerful nation on Earth than being a trial lawyer does.

Thanks for the news bulletin. It's not just the fact that he's never worked in an executive capacity (which, for the record, is a more likely path to the presidency than Congress), but the fact that he hasn't even worked in a legislative capacity effectively for very long ('98). He also voted for the Patriot Act. Meh. I don't hate the guy. I obviously agree with him on many issues. I just don't think he's the guy. Too early yet in his career. As winsome as Obama is, I think the same of him.

IMHO,If Guliani is the Pubbie nom, I think the only person with a cult of personality strong enough to have an icicle's chance in hell would be Billary.

But I'm just a girl in the world. You can write me off. Smiley: lol

This thing is FANTASTIC!

Of course the quality of the real match for your own beliefs relies on the quality of the research on the candidates, and the set-up of the quiz. However! For the huge mass of citizens that don't follow politics much, or know much about all the candidates, this thing is just a huge godsend.

I really believe that it can (shallowly?) summarize all the candidates' positions on big issues in relation to how you feel about them. When you can so easily find a candidate that is the best fit for your own beliefs on several issues, It would be a great incentive to vote.

I'd be so happy if something like this was done for Australian politics, especially since voting is compulsory here.

The quiz let me fill in the issues section without supplying any of the demographic information up the top.

Apparently I'd best vote for Chris Dodd (45), then Dennis Kucinich, Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama. I've never heard of the former two. The latter two are well known of in Oz.

P.S. I wanted to bring this thread to the OOT, but I haven't figured out how to link threads yet, so I just outright stole the link and posted it under my own name, to steal Nexa's glory.

Yes :0 (0.0%)
No :2 (25.0%)
Only on Tuesdays :6 (75.0%)

If you answered "Yes" or "Only on Tuesdays", you should vote for John Howard!

If you answered "No", you should vote for the other guy who visits strip bars!

Voila! Ask and you shall receive...

Woot!
Thanks so much!
FYI I shall be voting for the strip club guy, on my preferences. First preference goes to Greens or Democrats, depending. John Howard is an outright criminal who has breached international law and human rights so much it's not funny....and that's even BEFORE he started in with "anti-terrorism" measures.
