So for those of you keeping track, or not, the Rockies swept the D-backs and clinched for the series last night. I managed to stay up till the 7th inning, then got too tired and hit the sack. I knew they won when some of my overzealous neighbors started hooting and cheering -- outside their house -- at midnight last night screaming "We're going to the World Series!!!"

I'm hardly a baseball fan, and haven't really kept track till recently. Howwever I just may try to buy some tickets for one of the games in Denver. Supposedly the tickets for the Rockpile are gonna be $60, which ain't bad at all. I might even get lucky and get killed by a drunk fan or perhaps jump up on a cop car for a bit and get arrested.

It never ceases to amaze me that people think because a sports team wins a big game that gives them license to act like complete imbeciles.

I think you'd be classified as one of them fair-weather fans that Totem is always whining about.

I'm sure he'd be happy to lump me in with them. I didn't say I'd be rooting for the Rockies however. Two of my buddies up here are die-hard Boston fans, and if they go you can bet it'll get interesting. Perhaps I'll buy a Red Sox cap and start some Shit.

I liked it last night, when during the presentation ceremony for the NL championship trophy, the team president thanked the Diamondbacks and congratulated them on a great season.

And the crowd booed mercilessly.

The Rockies have a great shot against either Boston or Cleveland, though. If the series started tomorrow, I think they'd sweep either team. The fact that it won't start for another week hurts, though, because anything that lessens their momentum is bad at this point.

I still can't believe that tiebreaker game with the Padres.

Well, I'll be cheering for the Rockies. They stepped up and played when the game was on the line. They deserve to go.

I'm disowning Dustin Pedroia if he doesn't get his *** in gear tonight and that's all there is to it.

Actually, teams with a 5 day or more layoff prior to game 1 of the World Series have one 7 out of 10.

If he hadn't hit the homer last night, I'd be saying the same thing about Veritek.

Put in Ellsbury for christsake! >.<

He could have hit at least three home runs in that at-bat alone!

As a Boston fan and my brother a Cleveland fan, I was screaming into the phone last night while he was laughing his *** off.
