Well tomorrow's my b-day. There's no good music playing anywhere, so the hubby's getting off easy by taking me out to dinner and a movie.

What movie should I drag him to?

I really wanted to see Elizabeth: The Golden Age, starring Kate Blanchett. The reviews coming in on it are pretty consistantly bad though.

I can't find anything else that looks any good. The George Clooney one is getting great reviews, but it sounds like a really boring movie.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You'd figure that after 100 or so movies about the ***** they would have the formula down by now.

On topic : the box office looks fairly lackluster at the moment. I'd say Heartbreak Kid , but i know nothing about the movie and stiller is very hit or miss.

Yea, go see Jesse James, was filmed here in Winnipeg. Yay Exchange District covered in a few feet of dirt to make it look like the old west. Glad I wasn't at school down there while they did the filming, I'd've had to hitch my pants up to my crotch to wade through it all.

Some of this was filmed in Edmonton too. I lived there when "Brangelina" was in town. What a shitshow.

"Death at a Funeral" just came out in Australia, and I've just come back from it. By the last joke, the entire audience was rocking back and forth in their seats, and unable to control or modify their own laughter.

I'm sure it's not the world's greatest comedy, and it wouldn't have that same effect seeing it alone at home, but seeing it in a moderately full cinema was certainly an experience.

Due to the lack of anything worth spending $7.50per on, we instead stayed home and watched Apocolypse Now Redux (2001 directors cut version), which my son had just given to me for my b-day. The scenes added in were not all that special, but did not detract from the original awesomeness of the movie either.

I hope all you weekend b-day people had a nice time. Now..get back to work!!

Happy Birthday Kao....Smiley: flowers.

How old are you today?

Ben Stiller is a totally unfunny douchenozzle.

We Own the Night looks like a good follow-up piece to The Departed.
