Had an odd conversation with a co-worker.

He's married, but as he's a bit of a Harrison Ford lookee-likee gets hit on frequently by wimminz.

As he married a Spanish woman, he wears his wedding band on his right hand (Spanish Traddyshun). He now wears a signet ring on his left-hand ring finger and the grief has stopped.

So.

2. Do you check a potential victimconquest's left hand before hitting on them?
Yes. If they're wearing a ring, I steer clear :28 (51.9%)
Yes, but I'd shag 'em anyway:15 (27.8%)
No. They're all fair game:8 (14.8%)
How do you fit a wedding band on a hoof?:3 (5.6%)
Total:54

Long gone are the days of respect for someone's significant other. Coupled closely with the loss of any self-respect.

I once heard someone say that single women shouldn't wear any rings because single guys have no clue if it's a wedding ring or not, even if it's made of glow-in-the-dark plastic and worn on the thumb. It's funny because it's true; I glance for a ring and get confused if she's wearing a wristwatch.

When I was single that was one thing I looked for first. If he was married he was off limits.

I always check to make sure they have a ring. I'm only interested in no-strings-attached sex.

I always check. Tactics differ with married women and single women. A totally different set of options presents itself in either case. A wedding band vs. just an engagement ring makes a decent sized difference, too.

I've never had the opportunity, but apparently once I started wearing my ring the girls in the mall thought I was hot Shit.

I checked not only for a ring, but a tan line where a ring once was. A man willing to cheat on his wife with me is both indicative of his total relationship phail, and insulting to my character, since he obviously thinks I'm a *****. Homegirl don't play dat.

My husband says the same thing. Unfortunately, quite a bit in the military world. He's found that he is more likely to be hit on when wearing his wedding ring than when he goes without the ring.

I've heard that it's a sporting challenge among the ladies to try and ruin a married man. This true?

It's true. Fortunately, it's also true that the stronger the marriage and the closer the couple, the less likely they are going to try.

you forgot one,

"yes, without one they have no where else to go when your done with them".

most cheaters PREFER a married encounter. they atleast have something to loose as well and may be more descrete about it. personally, i have been hit on more times after being married than when i was single. you single guys mught want to consider wearing a cheap band and going to bars with a 25 and up crowd. hint.

personally, im only getting married once. so, not my cup of tea. i play ignorant and they tend to leave me alone after a while. there is nothing better on the other side of the fence. just another set of problems and a WHOLE LOT LESS money. sooo not worth the effort. hire an escort if you really need to, its safer, they atleast will use protection.

BTW, latin men consider it a matter of manhood to cheat. most of them dont think any thing of it. thats why latin women like american men.

Several single guys from my husband's shop do this. They swear it works. They went to Wal-Mart and bought just an affordable wedding band. They say it works like a charm.

wtf? Silly message warning?

Not where I am from. And if you have a ring or even a hint of one being there, I won't even give you the time of day...

I can't speak for everywhere but among my friends its considered bad karma to fool with a married man.

I don't mess with married women. After what I went through, I never want to put someone else through it. I've thought about putting on my old ring and seein' what that would get me, but honestly I don't really want to deal with a woman who's willing to play with a married man. That screams issues. For her and me.

Blah, blah, blah.

Yes, we're all f'ucking saints and none of you ladies would ever think of having an affair, etc., etc. and so forth.

I won't get in to how lucky we are to have such a high concentration of upstanding and noble people right here on this board. I will say it reaffirms my faith in humanity and it's members inability to be honest with themselves.

The bottom line is everybody cheats. Body, mind or heart, everybody cheats eventually. What the world needs is a little less **** retentive moral antiquity and a little more acceptance of the way Man is.

Then maybe more ******* would fall for my concerted efforts to get laid.

I agree with you. He cheated on me, then married her, that says volumes about what type of person each of them is... I hate sending my kid over there.

Using the presence or absence of a wedding ring can be a pretty precarious way to determine someones marital status.

I often take mine off for one reason or another and forget to put it back on. My husband hasn't worn his in years.

Believe it or not, sometimes women want to have no strings sex too.

Moe, I must disagree. I don't forsee ever cheating on my husband.

I'm far too lazy.
