I haven't seen it. I'm the left crying when the lion finally catches the baby gazelle so I avoid those programs at all cost.

Is this the time when the Lazuli attacked? It's been a while so I can't remember who dies when. I know one of the meerkats die trying to protect Shakespeare and another. Anyway, I dislike the Lazuli.

No, the Lazuli are old news. This season began with the Whiskers trying to get back their territory from the Commandos, who had overrun it. Mozart was off starting her own family group but got ousted from the dominant female spot (she just can't catch a break!) and the dominant male she was with died from an infected wound he got from Hannibal, leader of the Commandos. The Whiskers got their old patch back, but they encountered a cobra in the last episode near their babysitting burrow. They tried to drive it off, and instead drove it right into the burrow, where Flower's 1-day-old pups were. In an attempt to drive it out again and protect her pups, Flower went in after it and sustained a fatal bite.

Mr. Ambrya and I are both stunned. Flower, matriarch of the desert, is gone. Wow.

This season has been rough to watch. It seems like something bad happens every episode. I thought this one was finally going to have a happy ending when the Whiskers didn't kill Axel. Smiley: frown

With any luck, you'll do the same for your kid someday, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I know, I thought that was kinda cool. I'm really wondering what has happened to Mozart, too. I thought things would improve for her once she stopped being Flower's whipping-girl, but it was pretty sad when her pups got killed by the other female with her eye on the dominant position. Since I'm the type that always roots for the underdog, I really want to see Mozart come into her own someday.

Mozart is now in the custody of a meerkat Social Worker and being investigated by Child Protection officers.

FFS. Meerkats are cool and stuff, but this Anthropomorphism makes me puke. They're animals, not people!!

Can we please leave some intellectual distinction between "Natural History" and "Happy Feet"?
