We had the house inspection yesterday which went flawlessly. Eldest son is at grandmas this weekend, along with the dog. It's quiet and eerie here without them, but relaxing too.
I spent this morning hauling out large toys and other odds and ends we no longer use and driving them to the Salvation Army. I had Sick go through his side of the closet to decide what he is bringing and what is being trashed. i chuckle at the thought it took me a mere 30 minutes to go through all of my stuff (which really is not much) and it took him 3 hours. Of course 90 minutes of that was him going through his baseball collection stuff he hasn't touched since he was 19.

I took down pictures in our hallways, and I still have games to pack. But I'm exhausted so before I do that I'm going to chill a little bit. Tomorrow is the house appraisal and the P&S will be signed by Wed. 3.5 weeks to go

Went over and did the final once over of my old apartment. Booted around enjoying the last warms days I could before the cold cold Canadian winter sets in. Tonight, well tonight I am going to do my damndest to make sure Allakhazam has a screenshot of Lady Vashj, dead.

Dracoid away at University. Noblet away at his Mom's.

Finished tidying up me new gaming PC. Old one was happy with Vista but not this baby, so cleaned it and put fresh Windoze XP on it.

Now running LoTRO on 'Ultra High' settings. Everything maxed and not a hint of lag. Just need to tweak the sound card to get voice chat working more smoothly and I'm happy. The graphics are the best of any game I've ever seen.

As a UK player in a US Kinship, time zones mean I don't get to group much, which is fine for farming nodes when the septics are all asleep, but this weekend did some major questing with Kitca & Yanari and other Alla Guildies.

So basically, a bit of geeking and plenty of gaming. All good.

Saturday, went to a party back at the old "frathouse" since everyone is moving out and the "Riverside frat" is now broken up. Great time, lots of booze and liquor, some fighting, drama and firearms. And water balloons!

Today, pretty badly hung over. Bit of gaming, bit of cleaning.

A busy weekend here. I worked out a few times, took Mia swimming and pumpkin patchin', did chores and shopped. I'm tired and I'm enjoying this brewski.

Yay!

I', glad it is now almost over. Today was one of my nieces wedding and they had the ceremony at the Maryland Renaissance Fair. One of my daughter has a season pass and more garb then she could wear in one season, yet she felt she had to have a new chemise, while I wanted to make a new skirt to wear with my bodice. So last Thursday we headed to the fabric store. I ended up teaching her how to sew and we somehow finish everything last night.

We had to get up at dawn, to get ready and meet family at the fair. Turns out we we're the first one there. I got to the chapel and then remembered the batteries for our camera were still at daughter's. Now I have to bug my brother to email me some. Jonwin was only guy there in a kilt, it turns out. My brother and in-laws just were that brave, but Jonwin works as an US Sailor stuck forever, on March 10th 1862. (Day before the USS Constellation set sail)

Ii was a small Irish wedding, plan on short notice so the bride would still be able to fit in her dress. By time I was ready to leave my nephew was drinking a full pitcher of beer. No sissy little glass for him.

Somehow I still can walk upright. I have a large bruise on one knee from running around like a headless chicken for 5 days. I don't think I could have done it, if last Tuesday hadn't felt like Christmas morning, while going though my mother's collection of sewing supplies, vintage pattern's and dresses.

Jonwin was able to identified one brass button as from a Civil War Naval Officer's. Uniform. (US, not English Civil war.) I made my daughter a pouch of old silk and velvet that got us a commission for another. When I went to wash up, found a black spot between my collar bones. Turns out, that an heavy metal Celtic Knot, of unknown origin, is silver. I had made it into a simple necklace on black cord with 2 beads and a button. Everyone love the necklace, skirt and my next project will be from the 1914 McCall's Fall Quarterly pattern catalog. My family is going to have to sell some of the collection to pay for restoration of what we want to keep.

Now I'm going to bed and hope i can still walk in the morning. I always over do it at family events, and then can't move for a week.

Got blasted Friday night drinking beer and shots of some Danish beverage, don't recall what it was. But I ended up drinking enough to think having some cigarettes would be a good idea. Probably smoked a pack.

Spent all day Saturday feeling sorry for myself and getting absolutely nothing done. Didn't really feel right again till today. Watched the morning football games and then went and drove some golf balls at the range. Went out to dinner with a buddy and his gal at an Italian joint. Now I'm just settling down for some **** before hitting the hay early.

Most of the weekend I pretended to be a mother of three girls, 13, 9 and 7. Friday night was a tailgate party at the high school for football players and cheerleaders, so I took my kid and her friends. Rock wall climbing, dunk tanks, inflatable obstacle courses, hamburgers, hot dogs, yummy! And a football game afterward.

Sat morning we got up at 630 to get girls ready to be at caravan meet up spot by 745 for a 900 game out of town, Kai was cheering. That afternoon was spent keeping them entertained until the mother came to get the extra kids I had. Kai laid down for a nap at 6pm and never got back up until Sun... AT 3 FREAKING AM!!!

Son arrived that evening and took over my desk, until just a little while ago. I spent most of my day relaxing in my room, watching tv, sleeping and being lazy, long hot shower, completely dried my hair for once, trimmed and painted my nails; it's my only day of the week not booked solid at the moment.

Damn I hope I got enough rest. Tomorrow is busy as hell and I have a friend from out of town visiting tomorrow for the day, on top of my usual Monday adventures. I need a wife, any takers? Smiley: clown

I'm baking Zucchinni bread.

Today, I finally finished building my natural stone sidewalk. One of them projects I started weeks ago and didn't finish til today...it's been walkable eh. It was way more work than I had anticipated, but it looks cool.

I've cleaned my house nice and shiny.

Lost a bunch of my recipes when I moved last year. Couldn't find Zucchini Bread. So, I just got one off the intrawebs.

My in-laws are coming for a week+ visit tomorrow...Smiley: eek

Boring weekend, boring forum.

So, what about them OoTers? I hear that Hellboy posted a pic of Usagi's weanie. Despite my curiousity, I'm pretty sure it's a site better left unseen.

Wurd.

Celebrated grandmother's and brother's birthday on Saturday at the beach. Was able to catch up and see lots of family I haven't seen in a few weeks. Then watched the Chargers game where they GODDAM DIDN'T HAVE A ******* CLUE ON HOW TO MAINTAIN THEIR LEAD.

It was my birthday this weekend!!!

And also my girlfriend's, we're born on the same day. After 4 years together, we're still geting used to it.

Friday, got high and drunk with some old friends.
Saturday, went for a long walk in Buckinghamshire, between Princes Something and Wendover. Very nice.
Saturday night, went for drinks and stuff with friends.
Sunday, lunch with mum.
Sunday evening, girlfriend and I cooked our little "birthday dinner". She did Monkfish roll in parma ham, I cooked a chocolate-creme brulée. FUcking lovely.
Sunday night, spent in the toilet puking said monkfish and creme brulée.
Monday, recover at home.

Now I'm 28, old, hungry, tired, and wanting to go home.

Not that different from 27, to be honest.
