I love having spiders around the house to keep the insects down. If you remove webs from around the house you get left with the spiders that dont' spin webs. I never owned insect spray, but I will draw the line at a spider that can kill a human living in a heavily trafficked area.

A red-back spider moved into my VCR a few years ago and I bought a can of insecticide just for it. I wasn't going to try the glass-jar, piece of paper, catch and release in the garden trick on a spider that would require an ambulance ride if I got bitten.

Average number of insects a human eats in their sleep a year: 5.

Well, I hope you and your spiders will be very happy together, weirdo.

I, on the other hand, draw the line at any spider coming into my house; come in my house and it's on, *****.

Spiders are the main reason that someday mechinized walker type battle armor robots will come into existance. Nothign says dead spider like 100 tons of crushing steel robot foot.

Well, one advice. Never read R.A. Lafferty short stories! (the one entitled: "Incident at Aranea" in particular!)

I doubt you'ld ever agree with Nasa space programs again.

I can't take spiders, I become either scared stiff, or do everything and anything to get away including (trying to) jumping out of a car going 20 MPH.

On another note, I thought that the second picture was a laser, signifying his *** is about to be grass. Smiley: nod Which I approve of.

edit: (trying to)

You make that sound dramatic.

Don't American kids have to learn to do that at 4th grade?

Here in Englandland, kids have to safely leave a car at 40mph by the age of 12 or they're officially titled "a bit Shit" and ineligible for marriage, smoking, military service, fox-hunting and stabbing American Tourists.

Nah, they only teach it as an optional course. We americans were too dumb to take it.

(Case in point: I tried to jump out, the damn seatbelt caught me Smiley: glare)

Yes, but perpetuating it in a thread full of arachnophobes was full of sweet leggy goodness.
