I'm a little disappointed with the graphics. I thought the models would've been a lot more polished.

Dumbed down to meaningless mushy gruel that's identical to the last game?

Oh wait, identical to the last game with Far Cry graphics circa 2004.

Awesome.

What did you expect it to be? It's an FPS sequel of games that had the formula exactly right the first 2 times. They've added weapons, items, vehicles, mobs, multiplayer, forge, and finished the storyline all with shiny new graphics. Again, exactly what it needed to be.

But I guess you lose your edge when you go with the flow. Down with The Man! Bill Gates is the debil!

As much as I have enjoyed Halo 1 & 2 I still just can't justify buying another 360 after my first one died. And Black looks amazing for PS3.

Black was pretty fun for XBox as well, even if it was a little short.

The one complaint about Black I had was the body mechanics of the soldiers you fought. You could clip them four times in the head and they wouldn't drop and would barely even stagger. Just struck me as very odd.

It's not that at all. It's just a ****** game. The first two were ****** games, also. I played the first one at a friend's and literally said "Is this supposed to be a joke, the 100 levels that all are identical?"

If you want to proclaim a ****** game is great because Entertainment Tonight told you to or whatever the motivation is, that's fine, but it's still ******. I'm sure it'll make Microsoft a ton of money, just like ****** movies make movie studios a ton of money. That doesn't mean anyone who complains about "Just Friends" sucking is an anarchist French Cinema purist.

Sometimes things just suck, and apparently sometimes you're easily duped into pretending the emperor has clothes along with everyone else because the box with the pictures coming out of it told you to.

Not my problem.

I've never played Halo 1 or 2.

I had recently beaten Bioshock on hard, got the "good" ending, and decided the fact that Halo had multiplayer would give it some replay value.

The multiplayer is by and far the best thing about Halo 3. The backgrounds are pretty, but the in game graphics are meh. I couldn't follow the story at all (probobly cause I didn't play the first two) and while it did get difficult in the latter levels, running like hell through the difficult parts till you trigger the next checkpoint usually eliviated that problem.

But hey, atleast it has some replay value.

The story helps understand what the heck you are doing. The multiplayer is awesome if you are willing to put in the time. It is a revolutionary console game, like it or not.

I had two defective Xbox 360s, had to break down and purchase a final new one for Halo 3 and Bioshock though. I just couldn't accept the fact of not being able to play Halo 3 when it came out, as well as being unable to experience Bioshock. Then there's Fallout 3, the new GTA, the Orange Box (my PC sucks), and so many other sure-fire hits.

I love Halo 3, and this hurts to say though, but Bioshock to me is a bigger all-around experience as far as single player goes.

I love the Xbox, but Microsoft is pissing me the hell off.

You guys do know that any RROD issues are covered by MS for 3 years right?

I'd still buy 3 of them before I bought that piece of crap PS3. Only claim to fame is ported 360 hits from a year ago and MGS4 someday.

Almost picked up a Wii the other day, just to see what all the hub-bub was about. Then I remembered that I wasn't in elementary school and have a ***** so I passed.

Edited for the tense police.

In August my wonderful 360 finally came down with the RRoD. Called up the Xbox hot line, they sent me a pre-paid box to put my 360 in and in 4 weeks they sent me a brand new console. Btw I had two PS2's break on me, which I had to ship and pay to be fixed (I treat my consoles like babies, so I know it wasn't me) and I'm refusing to buy the PS3.

As far as Halo 3 goes, what did you expect? Some deep story line with thought provoking dialog? It's a FPS, they added new multi player boards and new weapons, exactly what I wanted.
