Glad to know I'm not the only one who hates these f'ucking things.

Seriously. Some of them have sound on them so damn loud you can't hear the dialogue, I never even thought about what they might do to someone watching captions or subtitles. How f'ucking annoying.

I refuse to watch Damages based purely on the obnoxious-as-all-hell promos FX runs which take up the bottom 6th of the screen and include exploding noises. These days, I'd rather wait for a Season 1 DVD via Netflix if I'm interested in a show than sit through all that crap.

Oddly enough, my friends and I used to go snipe hunting over long weekends. Unfortunately, we never found any snipes, so we'd just end up sitting around, making s'mores, and drinking heavily.

Ah okay. I was worried there a second. Though the inquiry came out a bit more brusque than I had intended--Tristan chose the moment when I was making that post to wake up from his nap.

I know what you mean about Damages. FX is the worst--I think it was during one season of "The Shield" when the ads for "Nip/Tuck" were particularly evil. There was some sort of blade sharpening/slicing sound that completely obliterated the dialogue.

When you watch fewer than 5 hours of tv a week, you want to see the frickin' shows, not those idiotic things.

“We don’t care about the next show. We’re watching this show.”

That's truth there.

i agree, those are the most annoying things that TV channels do to replace the fact that people flip through advertisements.

i will more then often just change the channel when a TV station does that. then i file a complaint and tell them i am not watching that show/station again until they reduce or remove those bloody things.

i could care less. if it is a show i really want to see, that is what Torrents are for.

It's working for me so far. Though I meant to watch the first installment of "The War" last night. I forgot it was on. Now I'll never know who won. Smiley: frown

In reality, I watch 3 things.

The Biggest Loser
Friends reruns
Football will doing cardio at the gym

I do watch Season 3 of Spongebob Squarepants about 13 times a week though. Little bugger loves that guy. If I wasn't so cheap, I'd buy another season, but he doesn't know or care. Might have to do it for my sanity's sake.

Everything being relative, that's quality kids TV.

I'm not hooked on any show these days. Last one was Lost, but even that's beggining to **** me off. It's going on far too long, I'm sure they could've wrapped up the whole thing in 2 seasons.

Heroes looks ok, but isn't just the X-men for the small screen?

I do over-hear ANTP cos my girlfriend watches it when I'm playing WOW. This eighth season looks well exciting! Plus-sized models! Russian girl! Cat fights! Meow!

Don't tell me who wins, someone already ruined the finale of season 7 for me, that was bad enough Smiley: motz
