My head is slightly fuzzy, I'm parched as all-hell and my hair smells like smoke, but my face hurts from laughing and I have a bellyfull of cake. Last night rocked, and the tide is finally turning on this thing. Hooray!

I used to love having a sauna at the pool when I was at college. Every Sunday we'd go there, sweat out all the alchohol and toxins, get some exercise in the pool, and any hang-over effects we had were gone within an hour or two. It was great.

Anyways, sounds like you had fun.

I wish I had any girls around for a girls night. Too bad it's not more economically feasable to do the Alla____ gatherings for three nights and have the middle night be split into boys and girls.

Actually, we'd have to do it the last night since we'd probably have to spend the remainder of our money bailing the guys out in the morning and we wouldn't be allowed back in the hotel anyway.

You don't know the half of it. For the past ten months I have borne the brunt of fulfilling many an expectation, consistently compromising to try to accomodate any and everything, and last night it finally clicked: It's my wedding, goddamnit, and everything that's being done is being done is to be enjoyed and savored.

So yeah, the wedding is a thing with a life all its own. My marriage, however, I expect to be as fun and fulfilling as last night hinted it can be.

Yeah, but I'm not having a shotgun wedding. Totally different.

Thanks, kid. That was nice. Smiley: grin

Neither did I. We just decided when we got engaged that we were ready to be married now, not in a year. Plus her sister was being deployed for at least a year starting Sept 4th, so we chose Sept 3rd, just 3 months away.

So we did everything you have in 3 months.

It wasn't until the day before we sent the invitations out that we realized that we made a good call

Will they actually throw you (me) in jail for public urination, or is it just a ticket and a fine?
