I'm not respondsable for any grammar or spelling mistakes today, as I'm not sure where I left my head.

Prozac and all the new psych medications available today. Sadly too late for a lot of people, who suffer from the side effects of the older drugs.

Good nite. Jonwin working and I am having a very bad day.

Vaginal Intercourse.

40 years of jail and it would be like the first time all over again, if not more so.

That's an easy one. I know a guy who just got out of jail after 35 years, I'll just ask him this weekend. Smiley: grin

Nobody

a) Deadline's not 'til Midnight tonight (7 hrs away)

b) None of 'em grabbed me. Yossarian got an A for effort but also an A for fUcktardness, scoring an overall E

The few decent suggestions lacked any credible explanation, and the ones with explanations were mostly Shit.

Unless there's something good posted later today, it'll rollover to a different comp (which may or may not require bewb pics)

No takers?

I expected at least one person to mention the lack of moonbases and space colonies we all expected soon back in the late 60s. In '67 we knew we were on the point of a manned moon landing, and we genuinely thought that the level of commitment and investment would lead to serious space conquest.

Or what about the microwave oven?

CGI? (c'mon, you'd watch the LoTR trilogy and think 'How could they afford 200,000 extras in full uniform?')

Or laser pointers? Crunchy Nut Cornflakes? Online ****?

Pfft

The internet is out. They all have it in prison. 500 channels of TV is out. They have plenty of TV in prison. They saw the space shuttle, they saw the super-colliders, they saw people use cell phones, all on TV. Getting out of prison isn't so much about being shocked by technology as it is by being overwhelmed by freedom and the sheer volume of new experiences bombarding them on a constant basis. Come to think of it, the entire prison parameter really fails to do justice to the question.

A better premise is the Rip Van Winkle effect. A guy who wakes up after 40 years is most likely to be completely blown away by the personal computer and the internet. They really have to be tied together as one a lot less effective without the other. Instant communications, information overload, simplified tasks and vast entertainment options all come together to make life in the pre-information age seem outmoded. A person who had never experienced these things would be blown away.

I fail for not completing the required task.

Bonus points for posting pictures of bewbs (self only, and no, not you Codyy).

Yeah, you can change the rules as you like, because its your challenge, and you're British, but basically f'uck off. Its not my fault you worded your challenge incorrectly.

Terrorism. In the late 60s terrorism was the IRA and Palestine. Now, thanks to Nobby's precious globalization and of course media panic, it's everywhere all the time.

The end of the cold war, if he's a political type, including the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the subsequent spreading of their technology and materiel into developing nations - the Middle East in particular.

It really depends on where the convict lives.

If it's in England, I'll say the effects of immigration.

The obvious effects, like the colour of people on the street, the way some areas are ghettos, the shops/restaurants/bars with a foreign theme, the variety of food available. Then there are the little things, Thai food in most pubs, Polish signs, the majority of Londoners being foreigners, the number of black players in the Permiership or the England team. The way they have shaped accents, language, sub-cultures, even the criminal one, youth culture, and the political discourse.

If that's too wide, then I'll go for the laptop. Boring, but they fUcking rock.

Hrmph.

The accents have changed, but by the late 60s we already had areas of ethnic majority - maybe not to to the same extent as today, and different origins (in the late 60s it was mostly Pakistanis, (and east Pakistanis now known as Bangladeshis), Mauritians, Biafrans, Viets & Laotians etc.

I accept a big difference (I accept) is that then they were only ever seen in ghettos, dirty factories and driving buses, not playing for ******** Hotspurs United or some-such.

Apart from that, you're way-off.

So far it's looking like a close-fought fight between Nadenu & Samira (Oh sweet Jebus, there's an image!)

Only if "some-such" means "pretty much every single job that exists at every level of society".

But I agree it sucks, so what about the death of politics? Everyone in Europe is pretty much a Centrist, no one believes political ideas will change the world anymore, and most of the real power is out of the hands of the people we elect.

Or, finally, the regress in British train system? That somehow trains were quicker, cheaper, more comfortable, more practical, had better food, nicer toilets, cuter ladies, and bigger seats in 64 than in 07.

As the inventor of teh rules (f'uck off Moe) I have noticed that it's 11:30pm BST but 10:30 GMT. I got confused.

So, arbitrarily, the compytishun is closed either 30 or 90 mins early.

The winner is:

Post-Glasnsot Pop-Rocks.

A tie - Vodka Nads & that Samira Bloke.

Prize is split 2x $15 vouchers or donation to the charity of choice. Early start in the morning so I'll make the arrangements tomorrow evening. PM me and I'll have my people speak to your people.

And no, I decided against the sneeksy idea of making it payable in cash, collectable here in person.

Goodnight fUckers.

And the rest of you? Try harder next time, 'k?
