France 0 - Scotland 1

WTF?

Red - Feel free to fUck off and die of shame

Youshutup - How does a Jimmy McJocko with a French mum deal with this?

(So much for the 'auld alliance')

In a soccer match, neither team really wins.

As an Englishman, where any sport is concerned, Scotland V France is always a fixture where I want both teams to lose.

Scotland should invade France. Not that they would put up a fight...

Smiley: glare

Disgraceful.

We've lost 3 competitive games since the Euro 2004. One was the Worlc Cup final against Italy, and the other two were against Scotland. Scot "James McFadden is our lone striker" land, for crying out loud...

Disgraceful.

Did I mention it was disgraceful?

Cos it was.

Disgraceful.

Having said that, I seriously still think we'll win the Euro.

Well, us or Scotland, of course Smiley: bah

What a win Smiley: grin I was in a pub on North End Road full of New-Zealanders, it was so awesome! Smiley: grin

And it sets us up nicely for a semi-final against La Perfide Albion next Saturday! All i all, cool week-end, i saw Manu Chao at the brixton academy last night, and now this... All I can say is:

Nique Les Bleus!

Good game. And Aus V England was a blinder too.

Couldn't decide who to support this evening. Wanted NZ to be taken down a peg, but hoped they'd take out France as they're a major threat.

So, mon Ami. Next Saturday. Let battle commence!

If France play with the loose discipline they did today, and England keep their heads together it could be a close call. France are clearl favourites, but I see a good game of football ahead.

I very nearly put a bet on at 12o'clock for an england Vs France Semi final at 25-1 in labrook, oh how i wish i had now.

I cannot believe the Ab's bottled it again!! best back line in the world domminating all the forward play, how can you lose from that platform?

All the credit in the world to France, sheer guts for the last 60 minutes. i'll even have the good grace not to make anything of the two forward passes in the winning try.

As for England, 8-1 was about the right odds before the match but the aussie pack just folded totally, they had a wake up call two years ago and it would seem they didn't learn any lessons.

In Paris France have a clear advantage, but they looked weak up front and if England can exploit the forward weakness like they did today there will be only one winner.

All i can say is COME ON SCOTLAND AND FIJI!!

Totally, it's going to be a great game either way. The French flair against English power, especially with Wilko having learnt to kick again, it should be very close.

I'll be in Blibao that Saturday, but I'm sure I'll find somewhere to see it, and if not, fUck it, I'm swimming home!

True, but as Castagnede said on TV "If you look at all rugby passes like this, with TV and computers and angles, they are all forward pass!"

Gbajian logic maybe, but just this once I'll agree!

I was gonna say I'm looking forward to a Scotland - France final but recent events have somewhat tempered my enthusiasm for playing Scotland...

Still, gogo Northern Hemisphere!!

Thats probably true, and if thats what it takes for flowing rugby i'll take it.

My main issue with the game atm is people disrupting the maul after the ball has been secured, once teh ball is back on the attacking side of the maul defending teams should not be allowed to disrupt as it is purely to slow down the play.

It mainly annoys me because it's only SH teams that do it and then complain that NH teams don't play expancive rugby.

So, Rouge.

England v France.

2 teams with an awesome track record, but with recently unreliable form.

I don't see a very high scoring game, but think it'll be close at half-time, and England winning by about 6 points. Something like England 17 France 11 or thereabouts.

What say you, frawgy?

A wager, perchance?

It's going to be close, no doubt about it. I think both team will try to kick it, play for territory, and try to make the other team make mistakes and score the resulting penalties.

At least in the first half.

England's game probably won't change much, but France will hopefully try to play more freely, and use our flair and quick-witted players to run you Victor Meldrews to the ground.

If that scenario unfolds, I think England will be leading at half-time, since your forwards are so strong, but that we'll come back to snatch it 19-14 in the dying seconds of the game.

As for a wager, sure! Just name your price!!

As long as its not money, of course

Hmm war with a frenchman... interesting concept, that usually involves white flags and lots of running away right?

15-13 England, Jonny winning it 3 mins from time with yet another dropgoal.

I've managed to miss every single England game this World Cup and then been ostrasised by the rest of my team on the coach the next day as they talked about the previous day's match.

Guess what i'm doing this Saturday, working that's what.
