Yes you, my harshest critics.

Ever since the discovery that I was going to become a father, I've really struggled to keep myself in shape. Struggling for sleep, fighting the narcolepsy, and just too much drinking have left me in less that tip top shape, not that I was ever there before.

I've joined a separate site, one that I'm using to keep myself acountable as well as use for inspiration and motivation. Over the last 6 weeks, I've modified my diet and starting lifting again. I'm beginning to raise my cardio as I've been trying to build back some bulk before cutting.

My plan is to keep "bulking" until my birthday (11/12) and then begin a slow 3-4 month cutting period. My ultimate goal is to compete in next year's Flex Wheeler Classic under the novice middleweight category. So far, I've put .5" onto my arms and claves (both at 16.5"), dropped 2" from my waist, raised my deadlift by over 100 lbs and doubled the amount I can bench. I'm nowhere near where I want to be, but it's a great start.

Why am I bothering any of you with this? I am willing to PM the site/profile to anyone who is interested, not being a complete douche, and could hopefully benefit from the learning that I've gained. Yes there are embarasssing pics of me, but I know that posting these semi-publicly will help keep me accountable. Eventually, I'll share the profile with everyone and let you all know how I've done.

Not only will I share my pics and blog with you, but I'll be happy to help any =4'er with their diet, fitness plan, and supplements. I was a certified personal trainer for Bally's.

Anyone up for a challenge?

Maybe if I started working out Aegis would stop bugging me about my scrawny arms!

I cut out junkfood/fastfood/pre-packaged from my diet awhile ago, walk the 2km to work, whether its rain or shine. 6'4 and 220 lbs, not scrawny not chunky. I could definitely tone up though and since I am on the rebound it seems the predictable thing to do.

PM me hawt stuff!

what do you think of the "Body For Life" training regimen?

I was on that a few years ago and saw some noticable changes....

I might just start that back up again.

Hit me with the info. I'm curious.

I'm far from ready to post pictures of me posing in a thong on the intrawebs, but perhaps after I lose a little more extra weight...

It's a good start, but you'll never truly get any results doing 2 exercises for bodyparts that have 3 muscles, like shoulders, chest, back, triceps, etc. The nutrition is ok, but it's a really general book that is probably more suited to middle-aged people with no real physical ability. You won't really make any significant gains imo. But I haven't read the entire book mind you.

My training split is on my profile, but it goes something like this:

Day 1: Chest/Biceps/Abs/Cardio

Day 2: Legs/Quads/Calves

Day 3: Back/Triceps/Lower Back

Day 4: Rest

Day 5: Shoulders/Abs/Cardio

Day 6: Legs/Hamstrings/Glutes/Cardio

Day 7: Repeat

Each one of those parts represents 3-5 exercises really.

Your birthday is two days after mine? Wild.

I just stepped on the scale and is says I'm up to 140. It must be wrong. Fully dressed I never top 130.

I'd love to get into your regimen.

Just remember that if you're doing it for your health, the cardio is the most important aspect. Particularly if you're going for fat loss try to make each session at least 30 minutes.
