What podcasts do you listen to? I'm not sure I have time to listen to more but I'm always curious what other people are into. Is there a podcast that I must have?

I subscribe to This American Life, Grammar Girl, Art History in a Minute, A Prairie Home Companion, Sound Opinions, CBC (Vinyl Cafe and As It Happens).

The only one I've ever bothered with was Kevin Smith's on his website (Smodcast, I believe it's called). Some of them are pretty entertaining, some are dull.

I don't think I've ever listened to a podcast. Hell, I'm not even 100% clear on what one is. I assume it's an MP3 recording of someone talking which you can download and listen to at your leisure.

Back in my day, when we wanted to know what was on a program we missed, we sent the broadcast station $2.50 for a written transcript!

For my purposes, it's talk radio programs that I miss. It can also be spoken word stuff, video, tv, blogs...a whole host of things.

I guess most people 'round here are just listening to today's hottest hits. Smiley: frown

It's like bite-sized NPR.

I've listened to Anderson Cooper's 360 PodCast before but I actually prefer to read his stuff than listen to him read it.

I probably should listen to more podcasts. My curse is that the times when I'm usually in my car are at the top of the hour which is, of course, when talk stations go to commercials/news/traffic/etc. By the time they get back to actually talking, I'm 90% of my way to my destination.

I currently can't get NPR at home so have been missing out on many of the weekend programs I'd been hooked on: Car Talk, Say's Who?, Whatdya Know?, This American Life, PHC, etc etc. I was a real junkie.

I'm learning to live ok without them. I've yet to make the plunge into purchasing an i-pod. I believe the devise is needed to pod (pod the verb eh)?

1-up yours (really good, basically uncensored gaming news)
This week in Tech (can be dull, but good most of the time to keep up)
Naked Scientist (Little dull, but interesting topics occasionally)
Buzz Out Loud (kind of a daily tech update)
Quirks and Quarks (general science news)
and about 10 others.

I listened to one of the SOE podcasts when they first came out, they made fun of Allakhazam once, I chuckled.

Other than that I rather read than listen to some voice dribble on.

The person. Something about a question he asked once at some nerd convention.

I think he asked if it was true that Dark Elves had sidewise vaginas, not sure.

I just remember at laughing at how petty it seemed to take a shot at the guy, even if the question was stupid as nails (What is more important Stam or AC????)

Probably NSFW pic of the DE Real Doll.

It is not dirty, just it is straight off the retailers website.
