who needs it!

"We're kicking ***," Bush said to Vaile Tuesday, according the Herald, after the deputy prime minister inquired about his trip to Iraq.

Sen. Larry Craig had already decided not to seek re-election before revelations that he pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a Minnesota sex sting, two of the Idaho Republican's political advisers claimed Thursday.

Don't worry, we believe you.

Smiley: nod

Ya, can't you leave Bush alone. Kicking him when he's down. Can't you let him have just this one lie about how well things are going? What are you trying to do anyway? Save the lives of US servicemen and women?

Oh wait...

Feel free to kick all you want. Just don't make a post describing every single one.

And Jesus, I highly doubt that whining on a video game board is going to save anyone's life. Quit ******** and go share your divine wisdom with the masses.

Hurry! Before it's too late!

I am reveling in the failure that is the Bush administration right now. It is the one solace I can find in his two terms in office. The simple fact that he is a complete lame duck and he gets to spend his last year in office just trying to kill time. That time is showing him wrong on almost every point, that public support has completely eroded for him, that he has lost the republican majority in the houses for his party, that his inner circle is dropping like flies.

No altruistic goals of saving soldiers lives, or even those of Iraqi's. Just enjoying being right about stuff I have been calling for the last 8+ years.

Suck it pubbie. Suck it long, suck it hard. Just don't get busted, it will only enforce the stereotype.

But thank goodness he praised our Austrian allies in Sydney.

His attempted tribute to Gerry Ford was, er, upstaged, however:

Quote:
Then, speech done, Bush confidently headed out — the wrong way.

He strode away from the lectern on a path that would have sent him over a steep drop. Howard and others redirected the president to center stage, where there were steps leading down to the floor of the theater.

keep in mind however, that it was the entire republican machine that did this, not just bush. he was just the mouth piece for a hand full of fanatics who wanted to change the world.

it may have been his words we hear, but i promise you, he didnt write most of them. hell, he can barely write at all to begine with.

its a shame so much distruction has been done. some that will take generations to repair. but dont hang it just on one mans shoulders. rove was smart to leave when he did. too bad george couldnt do the same.

"Thank you for being such a fine host for the OPEC summit," Bush said to Australian Prime Minister John Howard.

Oops. That would be APEC, the annual meeting of leaders from 21 Pacific Rim nations, not OPEC, the cartel of 12 major oil producers.

Bush quickly corrected himself. "APEC summit," he said forcefully, joking that Howard had invited him to the OPEC summit next year (for the record, an impossibility, since neither Australia nor the U.S. are OPEC members).

That's funny too.

Though Bush's confidence in this war is obviously misplaced, the Democrats in congress have done nothing to stop it. They had a chance and they folded. For what I believe because they were fearful of criticism from the GOP and President Bush. Yet after they folded, they were criticized anyway. In 2006, the Americans elected a Democratic Congress for a change of direction and end this obvious failure of a war. It’s the whole reason the American people voted for change. Here we are, nearly a year after the election, we still have the same old **** and Congress has still failed to do what it was voted in to do. The Dems have screamed up and down withdrawal but when it comes to game time, they just aren't on the field.

Veto power Rimey, veto power.

That along with the fact that the Democrats know enough that forcing the withdrawal of American troops before the election would eat up a lot of political capital and leave them in rough shape for the 2008 presidential election.
