It's been slow and I've had a couple thread starter ideas but none especially gelled. I've even started a few OPs and then backed out of them before hitting post because I didn't like how they were coming along. So here's a few quickie thoughts to clear them from my head.

My co-worker needs to quit. I like her well enough but she hates her job and complains about it all the time and it's wearing me out. Cut bait already, damn it.

I had an epiphany in which I realized that I really like the concept of MMORPGs but I don't so much care for the playing of MMORPGs. Which explains why I still troll around the GenEQ forums.

I'm getting married in two weeks. Two weeks. Good lord.

I just scheduled dance lessons for us which was one of my few wedding-related tasks. Honestly, it's a good thing that I'm marrying Flea because I'm useless for this stuff.

Some Republican House member from Ohio died. I didn't post about this because it's hard to make it interesting without poking fun and that seems a bit tacky. But any time a federal government elected official like that dies, it's a matter of interest just to see who'll fill the slot.

I've been playing Fallout 2 which I never played past the first town the first time I tried it years ago. I'm nearing the home stretch now I think (got the GECK, visited home, working towards freeing the tribe) but I still liked Fallout more. But the sheriff guy with the Bozar is a fucking monster. If only he'd stop wasting a clip of ammo disintegrating giant ants for 550pts.

Oh, and the child support thing is still up in the air. I'm confident of a win but the wheels of justice grind slow. She's blown off filling out her financial statements for the lawyer so the next step is issuing subpoenas to her and her workplace.

There is some shakeup that is supposed to happen today at my office as well. Can't wait to hear, but I've been told it was good for me.

I agree, MMO's remind me that I'm not 16 anymore.

2 yr anniversary 2 days ago. 2 bad this is wedding 2 for you, enjoy it this time.

You should be too hammered to dance. Instead try to remove her clothing during the father daughter dance. Pending her father wasn't one of the peruvian midgets killed during the quake of course.

Saw that. Not drug or **** related, so off limits.

Haven't played that yet. Trade you for Europa Universalis III.

Wimp...no backing out of threads.

Have you introduced her to MMORPGs and the Assylum?

I find there is too much talking about playing. Just play the dam game already.

Yeowzaa, how strange. Best of luck to the two of you always and forever. Never forget the promise.

Is this a wedding thing?

Since when?

Haven't yet been persuaded into Bioshock?

Money is good I guess, and a necessary evil for raising a child. Still..just...'Ouch'

I haven't posted recently about the rock sidewalk I'm building. It's taking far more time that I could have ever imagined and has used and abused old muscles I forgot I had. Still, it's been very satisfying work, it looks really cool, and we'll actually be able to walk on it (if all goes as planned).

Think, I'm gonna post an imaGe when it's done.

Edit: yes, I messed up the quote.

Yeah, been there. I've been tempted to say as much to people (and when I was a department manager I effectively did say it). Not only is it a morale suck, but you just feel for the person. GET OUT! GET OUT NOW! SAVE YOURSELF!

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding. Best wishes to you both.

My "uselessness"? Pretty much. I'm not much of an events planner and if left tasked with flowers, music, food, etc would probably solve the problem by placing a bag of White Castle next to the potted mum and CD changer.

Even better. Make sure that Flea starts the abuse immediately after the ceremony is official. It will make a better story that way.

I really used to like MMORPGs but it seemed after a while, interfacing with other players got kind of tiresome. I began tending to just log in and play with myself (heh-heh) rather than trying to meet new people and go through all the motions of developing a "gamer relationship" for lack of a better term. That's probably why I'll only play with people I already know.

As for the dancing thing, better you than me. The last time I tried that crap I threw the girl into the band.

Give me a break, she was a really small chick.

Following up my thread that got no replies talking about how Bush should redefine the talking points of pulling out of Iraq to make it less of a defeat when it happens. He did do it a little bit during his visit but it was more setting up for the fact that come April 2008 they simply won't have the troops to maintain the surge and will have to explain it away someway.

While moving into the new apartment I came upon the old tenants **** stash. It was f'ucked up sh'it, even by a jaded 26 year old who has seen the best and the worst of what the internet has to offer.

How the f'uck can people defend Michael Vicks?

50 years of On the Road, why it and similar post war novels that are ingrained in the fabric Americana don't speak to a Canadian born in 1981.

My first quickie of the day!

Start mimicking what she does. It's sure to drive her crazy enough to quit.

My own epiphany is that MMOPRGs are teh debil. Time suckage to the max.

I wish I knew how to dance. The dirty vikings I descended from clearly weren't into tripping the light fandango.

Meh, Republicans are tacky. End o' story.

I used to start alot more topics than I do now. The main reason I don't start more is it just looks bad to have too many admin started threads in a given forum. I figured they were annoying people. Besides, I tned to be random enough in my posting that I would just end up moderating myself.

I still find it hilarious though that OOT is turning into a mini timecapsul of Asylum, circa 3 years ago. you can almost predict their next threads based off that history.
