That kind of thing's actually the main reason (besides not feeling well) that I didn't want to go to the air show in Chicago.

It's sad when that occurs, but it's really quite rare that it happens. Usually when it does it's due to people that really shouldn't be flying at an airshow. Mechanical stress certanly can play a factor as well.

If nothing else, they died doing what they loved to do. There are worse fates.
