And cougar attacks, don't forget those! Er, as in mountain lions, not predatory menopausal women.

As far as I know, anyway.

Only 108 with thunderstorms? Wimp, 110 in the shade is normal there in the valley. With the low humidity is seems cool compare to here on the east coast.

Try 100 with 90% humidity. After spending Saturday sweating buckets, I would almost want to move to Fresno. It's the thought of water from the wells, that smells like rotten eggs, which keep me away.

Water from the wells? Where the hell have you been drinking from?

And thunderstorms brought rain last night which raises humidity which = more not fun.

I'm fine with 100+, it's the 108 with high humidity that is disgusting.

I kinda think the fact that there are THUNDERSTORMS means the humidity is up a bit.

Today is the first rain we've had in about a month. No storms though. And it cooled down to the upper 80's/low 90's. But this slow, steady rain with cooler temps just means that you notice the humidity more. Everything is sticky. Even the air. Blech.

A thunderstorm doesn't mean high humidity at ground level. Sure the humidity is up and it will be a bit steaming when the sun comes out, but We're talking the difference between living in a dry air, were they worry about humidity of over 30% ruining the raisin crop, compare to wet coastal were the humidity rarely goes below 30%.

Yeah, that would be some disaster. I don't know how I would survive with less than two scoops of raisins in my package of Kellogs Raisin Bran.

Never tried Leffe Brun, but have heard it is tasty. I'm sure there's somewhere in NorCal that sells it. But til I find it, since I'm out of Newcastle Brown Ale at home, I'm going out in the warm, dry California weather and hit the Duke of Edinburgh for a pint or three.

/cheers
