(CNN) -- A Republican senator pleaded guilty earlier this month to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge stemming from his arrest at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, according to state criminal records.

Roll Call newspaper reported Monday that Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho was apprehended June 11 by a plainclothes police officer investigating complaints of lewd behavior in an airport men's room.

Guesses on the lewd behaviour?

More than two shakes or did sh'it on his page?

Edit -

Quote:
According to Roll Call, the arresting officer alleged that Craig lingered outside a rest room stall where the officer was sitting, then entered the stall next door and blocked the door with his luggage.

According to the arrest report cited by Roll Call, Craig tapped his right foot, which the officer said he recognized "as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct."

The report alleges Craig then touched the officer's foot with his foot and the senator "proceeded to swipe his hand under the stall divider several times," according to Roll Call.

At that point, the officer said he put his police identification down by the floor so Craig could see it and informed the senator that he was under arrest, before any sexual contact took place.

Craig issued a statement confirming his arrest and guilty plea, which were reported in the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call. But the Idaho Republican maintained that he had not engaged in any "inappropriate conduct" and that the airport police misunderstood his behavior.

I'm not sure how an undercover officer would misconstrue disorderly conduct.

Maybe he was just asking for help wiping himself off, I dunno.

What is the world coming to, when two grown men can't rub each other's foot and wave at each other with hands full of poo, while taking a dump, in adjacent cubicles, in an international airport?!

Why must the Liberal Media place its fetid maw upon the glory hole of inequity and suck everything good and upright out of this innocent man. I can only hope that one day it will blow up on their faces, possibly in their hair.

When will they realize the hypocrisy of supporting gay rights while having witch hunts over republican senators trying to get an honest BJ from a stranger taking a sh'it in the next stall?

I thought this might be a reference to a scandal with a "paid escort". Thus it caused me to recall John Dean's book on watergate (Dean spent about five months in prison for his role in watergate.) Apparently at some time in the past he was hired by playboy to cover a convention and wound up asking a "paid escort" exactly who was better in bed (Republicans or Democrats), to which she replied "neither, the reporters are better then either", or words to that effect.

By the way, Dean is calling for Bush's removal from office (I initially wrote "calling for Bush's head" but I thought that would fit in to this forum all too well).

Close enough. Both believe that a big man in the sky tells them what to do.

A spell in the state prison for his 'lewd behaviour' would soon sort him out!

A few weeks surrounded by sex-starved body-builders with tattoos and piercings hanging out in the showers together.....ah, wait.

Never mind...

And just a thought...Do police officers actualy apply to do jobs like that? Or is it on a roster system?

That's how these scandals usually work.

It must suck to be a gay Republican politican and have to hide getting a ******** or else your supposed base won't vote for you.

I should, in all fairness, amend that to state that really any politican who is openly gay has a tough road to go down. Still, liberals seem much more likely to shrug off sexual transgressions.

Oh, I dunno, the other 30 or Senators seem to be able to handle it. It's just the really flamboyant ones who get into trouble. They just need to apply some good old family values and only get corn holed in hotels on vacation by close friends.

Not to belabor the obvious, but when a person sets himself up as an arbiter of all that is moral and socially conservative and clean-living and gol-durned Amurkin FAMBLY VALUES, goddam - their foibles and sexual secrets stand out in such comparatively stark relief.

Craig voted in support of the "Save the Amurkin Marriage for Us Heteroseckshuls" bill. He has voted against gay rights consistently. He voted against gays in the military.

It seems pretty clear that there's no saint like a sinner deep in the closet, at the very least.

In other news, I was talking to my friend at work this morning about the possibility that repressed sexuality makes you Republican.

His argument is that it's just as likely that conservative values lead to sexual repression; but I like my theory better.

I knew he was a methodist, I am just sick of all the damn mormon favortism around these parts.

And if I had a decent camera I would post a pic of the headline here on our local paper today.

You know it is bad when the best thing a man could do to save his career is to appear on the list of the DC Madam.

To be fair, there's no evidence that he actually tried to marry someone of the same sex though...
