Was there a functional reason for the changes, or did y'all just feel like changing stuff up?

I know where the journals, PMs, etc ended up -- in a giant clusterfuck under the user name, according to my computer. Meanwhile, the arrows make the top border huge.

Ah HA!

Apparently something was fixed or needed to refresh because it looks much more streamlined now.

Hate the smilies on the posting window since they're very distracting and I figure if you're too retarded to figure out how to use them, you don't deserve them.

not only is it ugly ***, but its a pain in the *** to figure out which arrows is whose. Is it the top? Is it the bottom? I dont want to mistakenly rate up Hell Boy while rating down BT.

I do like the smiley thing though. That can stay

Yeah, I think it straightened out for me at the same time. Now the arrows are on the right. I thought Kao just didn't know his right from his left, before.

I like the smilies on the post page.

I do feel pressured to add a poll, though.

Sucks. Very American putting it over on the right hand side where there's no reason to be at all instead of with the cluster of other things.

Also the hover menu thing blows.

It's a shame that I need to camp you now. Smiley: frown

I added that frown old school.

Is there a reason for the vast seas of white space in each post?

I despise hover menus in general. This isn't horrible, relatively speaking - I've seen them where the hover menu blocks the thing you're actually trying to click.

I'd camp you back, but god - I just don't have that kind of stamina.

Put the arrows next to the "Reply to this post" link. That would be better than this fuCked-up monstrosity of adding them on an extra line.

Er, for me they ARE on the same line as "Reply to this" - just off to the right of it.

The reason for the hover is trying to declutter the message display. All 4 of the links which can end up there are pretty low priority, and was tired of them taking up excessive space on the forum view. Links you're likely to use on a regular basis don't require a hover.

Jophiel, as the resident eq template forum snob, mind trying to use the forums from the bestiary please? There are some template enhancements I'm pondering moving to eq.

Nothing says uncluttered like having things randomly pop up when you mouse over an area. "Score:Excellent" though, critical.

Nice change for the most part, but I hate where the arrows are now.

They are sooooo far over there...

The smilies thing was nice though, I been wanting that for awhile now. Just missing Smiley: motz though, since that seems to be used fairly frequently.

Oh - I guess when the page first loaded it still had the earlier configuration. I see it now. This does make it easier to rate-camp using the window scroll bar.
