I was there St. Patty's weekend and it was in the low 90's already. That could be a fluke, but I somehow doubt it.

Also, it could be possible I end up living there by the time this rolls around. The company I'm with right now is pretty shakey, lots of things happening and it could well end up sold, moved off, or defunct before too long. My cousin has been trying to get me to move there for the better part of 2 years.

Damn I hate the desert though...

Wifey actually gave me the OK to run away for the weekend leaving her alone with the baby, but since it'll be showing up in February the later we do this the better for me. I voted "Whatever, I'm flexible" even though I'm not, really.

Let's go to one of those artificial islands in Dubai and see how bad that fuCks with em!

Or, better yet, take knobby's advice and go to London and watch it hit 110F with no humidity.

I'm mostly a forum=4 lurker but I'd really love to meet you all in person. Is this kind of a "by invite only" thing or is it open to anyone? The wife and I love Vegas and were planning on a Phantom of the Opera/Stomp trip sometime next year. It would definitely be a bonus if I could meet some of the people who write the threads/posts that I read on a daily basis.

I'll likely be in Iraq W's Sand Box but if I'm not June works.

I'll wear my "I hate GrumpyWookie" T-Shirt.

Oh I wish I had a better chance at attending. Baby yoyo v.2.0 will be just ready to pop mid-April, thus there is no way. But I'm not likely to attend in any case.

In Vegas, the average monthly temperatures are:

April: High: 78 F/ Low 54 F
May: High: 88 F/ Low 63 F
June: High: 99F/ Low 72 F.

It heats up quickly.

In metric units these are:

April 26 C/12 C
May 31 C/17 C
June 37 C/22 C

(In Rankine, they are all about the same.)

I was just in Vegas about 2 weeks ago and while it was hot, there were tons of air conditioned places to duck into. Still trying to convince the wife to try the Stratosphere rides but I can't even get her to get into the elevator.

I'm sure there are others who say it'll be open to the public, but we don't just let anyone come. They have to have some sort of history on the board and frankly, some of you that are long-time posters, are still bound to be uninteresting twats in RL and I don't need you gumming up my va-cay.

No offense.

Pfft, you let me come last year.

So much for standards.

How do we know she means that thread, Joph? Maybe she means that Debalic has carpet threads in his body too.

I know no one will believe me, but I mentioned this trip to the hubby, and he said it might be doable. So, in the event that we could actually make this one, I picked May.

I'll definitely be up for a Vegas meet-up. As far as new folks joining us, I think the best way to make yourself more welcome would be to post more and lurk less. Meeting lurkers in person is almost as bad as meeting a stalker. Posting more and letting everyone get to know what you're about evens the playing field since you already know what we're about (at least, our online personas).
