All this talk of global warming ignores that we are having the best summer in my memory of the 13 years I have lived in California. Of course, there is no other truly important area of the United States, so you suckers are left ot swelter. Sucks for you.

Agreed. Fresno was sub 90 in August for 3 days. It's like a Christmas Miracle. Except not. And in the summer.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but the Sacremento portion will probably stick around and be absorbed by Nevada.

Sounds like my day.
We had terrible thunderstorms at like 3am, even a tornado in Queens. Most of the city reported 2-3 inches rainfall in an hour. Half that water drained into the subways, the rest steamed up and laid over the entire region.
WHY did I take a field tech job for the tri-state area in a summer like this? with my luck the crappy Sundance I'm driving will die in the fall and I'll get a nice new car with slammin' AC by November.
