All this talk of global warming ignores that we are having the best summer in my memory of the 13 years I have lived in California. Of course, there is no other truly important area of the United States, so you suckers are left ot swelter. Sucks for you.

Two days ago? Record low high temperatures in Sacramento-- 76*. Ahhhhhhh.

High of 78, Low of 68. Slight breeze, no clouds, sunny. I heart San Diego.

Agreed. Fresno was sub 90 in August for 3 days. It's like a Christmas Miracle. Except not. And in the summer.

Seventy degrees with intermittent drizzle.

Almost paradise!

You won't be paying too much attention to the weather when your state slides into the ocean after the next big one....

105 in central VA with no rainclouds in sight.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but the Sacremento portion will probably stick around and be absorbed by Nevada.

It's been raining like no one's business out here the last few nights. Some areas up north had 7" or so dropped on them within a few hours.

On the plus side, the corn is about thirty feet high. Give or take.

Speaking of corn, Flea had her first real piece of fresh sweet corn the other night as opposed to the store-bought stuff. Yum! You could probably eat it raw off the cob and it'd still be delicious.

Everyone knows that record low temperatures are caused by global warming. Smiley: tinfoilhat

Sounds like my day.

We had terrible thunderstorms at like 3am, even a tornado in Queens. Most of the city reported 2-3 inches rainfall in an hour. Half that water drained into the subways, the rest steamed up and laid over the entire region.

WHY did I take a field tech job for the tri-state area in a summer like this? with my luck the crappy Sundance I'm driving will die in the fall and I'll get a nice new car with slammin' AC by November. Smiley: glare
