True as there are plenty of players who used 'roids and didn't hit 755 home runs. With that being said, without 'roids, he would never have done it. He has tainted one of sports most revered records.

I'd hardly hold up Curt Schilling as a paragon of virtue. He of all people needs to tend to the beam in his own eye.
