I know I'm supposed to feel bad for the human, but the poor dogs! To get that result, you have to do unspeakable things to the poor dogs.
So I pretty much talk to everybody and I used to walk my dog in a rather bad part of Los Angeles. About half the guys I spoke with knew firsthand about dog fighting. Typical comments were along the lines of: "Wow what a nice dog...do you fight him?" or "My dog was such a sweetheart but then my cousin borrowed him and fought him and now he[the dog] is kinda crazy".

Poor dogs indeed. Mexicans are really bad for your intestines. Part of the bad bacteria floating around in there. Feed the dogs some yogurt, that should help balance things out again.
Dogs in packs can behave aggressively for reasons we don't necessarily understand. We can't in fairness assume that the dogs had been trained to fight or otherwise abused.
