I love San Diego.
You have Gbaji there though.
80 and sunny would bore me in a hurry, believe it or not. There's pleasure to be had in a crisp fall evening with burning leaves or looking out over your yard covered in fresh snow or seeing spring's first snowdrops poking through the thaw.
I grew up there. I've never had proper "seasons". I lived in Riverside, CA for a while and I could walk out and see snow dusting the mountaintops in the winter, and suffer through 115 F summers.
Now I live in Camarillo, CA and oh my god the weather is
perfect. Neither my home nor office have air conditioning. I have a ceiling fan and a radiator steam heater in the office. There is about a week during the summer per year where it gets uncomfortable - but I have a North facing window (a bit worse with the South facing).
But I think the weather is a bit like sport. I grew up playing American football with all my friends - and I love it. I can see the allure of ice hockey and soccer - particularly as spectator sports - as I can see the beauty of snow and colorful foliage - but I just love what I have.
