I bought an Elmo toy for my daughter last night and I wake up to a recall all over the news this morning for a bunch of Hasbro toys. Apparently the chinese vendor is using lead paint on the children's toys...

Edit: apparently led =/= lead

And here I thought you found the doll possessed with the spirit of a serial killer trying to strangle your baby to death. Smiley: disappointed

No word on the Hasbro website about any Elmo recalls that I can see. However, a lot of you dorks around here probably have one of these so you better be careful.

Well, it seems Elmo did, in fact, kill someone's baby.

I think it's probably the easy way out if he were looking at a prison term.

If only we had access to lots of cheap labor, we could be competitive in manufacturing too. Oh, hey, wait a minute....

I am going to go out on a limb here and say it was a "government assisted suicide"

How about Shoot-me-Up Elmos? Those are funny!

I was at a toy store years ago during the peak of Tickle-Me craze with a friend; we came across a giant shelved wall of Tickle-Mes and set them all off at the same time. The resulting vibration knocked most of them off and almost took the wall down! Smiley: laugh
