So I was reading another board, and a poster commented on something that made me all yikes. Apparently, as part of their new protest strategy, pro-lifers are not only using the pictures of partially aborted fetuses that they know we all hate, but they're also using pics of the holocaust, with tag lines like "they weren't people either" or something to that effect. Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

WTF, pro-lifers? I get the basic, tenous, totally unequal comparison you're trying to make, but what a ****-poor, alienating way to make it. Any of you seen this?

Hey, it's Alberta. Drive any back highway around Calgary and enjoy the giant pro-life billboards that litter the roadside. All part of the Canadian Bible belt experience.

Yeah, we have the same ones here in my back water area. We even have the door to door Christian sales men type. I know the type, Church on every corner just about, ask you if you are going to hell regularly, bible quoting freaks. I'm a start my own cult. ***** those religious zealots, mines going to have beer and boobs.

haha, they've been doing that around here for YEARS! One of the professors on my campus stands out in front of the student union with sandwich boards of dead babies and signs around him of the holocaust. Students like to stand around him with pro-choice signs and the occasional "I'm with Stupid" t-shirt.

You mean the "Extremist" pro-lifers. I am pro-life, however, I would NEVER use scare tactics like that or the aborted baby pictures to protest with. The best way to get your thoughts across is to educate people. Give them ALL the facts and let them make their choice.

Perhaps not the best plan, seeing as how you are an argument for post 3rd term abortion.

Abortions for all!

yea, it is unsetteling to see, that inspite of how far we have come, we are only an idiot away from mindless mobs roaming the streets burning non-believers on crosses.

wooohoooo, the right wingers vision of the new order.

The nerve of these anti-abortionists! I think we should launch a counter campaign that is pro-abortion and use Bodhi as the poster boy. That should change their minds about abortion!

Just wait until they catch wind of my Jewish Reproductive Rights Initative which makes abortion illegal for everyone except pregnant Jews. Who will be encouraged to consider all of their options whenever they get pregnant.
