I hope we can get a regular thing going. I've been playing quite a lot of EQ lately.

For the record, I stuck with VG on a regular basis longer than Git or Snoggy. Only Elinda hung in there longer than me, and she's obviously chemically imbalanced.

Oh, and Tare, Bhodi will PL you.

Actually, still in Vanguard, but still getting settled into new house. What race is your new bard on Targanor?

I'll dig out my EQ2 and re-install it - I miss my Halfling Monk, so should be fun to get back into EQ2 for a bit until Warhammer comes out.

He was a wood elf, but I'm done with VG, at least for the foreseeable future. It's been uninstalled and everything.

Bugger. Just did the Station access deal so I can play both - I'll cancel Vanguard next month and just keep EQ2 then - I'd rather play whatever game we're all on to play together. Here are my toons in EQ2:

Haemish (Blackburrow) - Main toon
Halfling | Monk | 43

Snorre (Blackburrow)
Dwarf | Troubador | 1

Snorri (Blackburrow)
Dwarf | Fury | 23

Wallop (Blackburrow)
Gnome | Bruiser | 21

Hornswaggle (Blackburrow)
Gnome | Swashbuckler | 10

Belfry (Blackburrow)
Dwarf | Templar | 8

Smoggo (Blackburrow)
Ratonga | Necromancer | 8

Squishem (Blackburrow)
Ogre | Berserker | 8

Aaldo (Blackburrow)
Barbarian | Defiler | 8

Serpentus (Blackburrow)
Iksar | Assassin | 7

Wonky (Antonia Bayle)
Halfling | Troubador | 31

Just returned myself, as I have a 70 monk on Najena, I ofcourse started there again. Heh, finally a game that allows Euros to play on US servers and I automatically picked the wrong one!

Still, you should try out an Arasai. Very good starting area.

Nice to be back in eq2 but i've completely forgotten how to set up the extra hotkey bars and other mundane necessities. DSD, please to pm me the chat channel info as well, por favor! A password may be required.

The patching was brutal - took about 4 hours. Of course, I used my Kingdom of Sky discs instead of my Echoes of Faydwer set, which might have been more recently patched. I realized too late that EoF had all the previous expansions and original game.

I still haven't upgraded from the trial, because I'm hoping to get into town today so I can pick up the boxed version of EoF instead of downloading the whole thing. That said, I may not be available for you to powerlevel me tonight, it might be tomorrow night, depending on when I can escape the farm and how the patching goes.

Yeah, definitely get the EoF set and you'll probably have much less patching time to deal with.

I'll probably be on tonight barring any puppy disasters. I want to check out a decent ui mod, too.

Snorre, check this one out:

I never used a UI for EQ2 until I found this one and I absolutely love it.

I'm never getting off this fUcking farm today, so I just went ahead and purchased online. Instead of doing the seven hour download from Direct2Drive, I just registered the expansion on my trial account and I've only got roughly 2 more hours of patching and downloading, according to the patcher. Good deal.

Argh!

It's 75 bucks, apparantly, to transfer characters with items between servers. Bloody Sony scam artists.

That's pretty steep, even if I'm getting a free steak dinner, DSD. Smiley: wink2

I almost installed EQ2 again the other night. But I have no expansions for this game, and even though I realize you can buy them all in one game now, I've got some other stuff I think I'd rather do first. The next expansion for Civ 4 is out and I want that, plus we just got our Wii, and I know we're going to want games for that, plus extra controllers, etc.

You mean Warlords? Mr. T loves Civilizations so if there is a new expansion I'd sure like to know.
