Hey EQ2 peeps, as a reward for buying and canceling Vanguard, SOE sent me an offer of free EQ2 and free play til 9/15/07. I can't pass up a completely free game so I'm going to download it tonight. What server do you guys play on?

They have 'mentoring' which means I get to become the same level as you all while keeping my kick *** raid gear you also get a xp bonus. Pretty frickin sweet.
Best advice I can give you is to get DSD to show you around. Things can see overwhelming once you get out of the starting zone, anything from the UI to the quests themselves. Having DSD around to show you around helps a lot, least it did for me.

For the record, I stuck with VG on a regular basis longer than Git or Snoggy. Only Elinda hung in there longer than me, and she's obviously chemically imbalanced.

Made a WE Druid named Tamir, but now I'm off to CompUSA to try to get a cheap laptop at some special sale. It's 4:20 am. I am crazy. I am probably not even going to buy it.

I wont be on tonight and possibly tomorrow as I have a friend from Cali spending the weekend here, but if you guys get to level ten by Monday I can take you out and mentor with you. My raiding days are Wed & Sat, but otherwise Im all yours. I usually pop on between 8 and 8:30 ET. Hubby Streetkid is also up for some mentoring too and we can show you around.

Cool, DSD. I'm going to start a new toon today on BB. I'll have her up 10 by the end of the weekend. I'll add you to my friends. Tuesdays are chaping up to be raiding nights for me so any other night is fine.

I picked up EQ2 about a year ago to play with DSD, bhodi and the rest, and within about 3 weeks, they had all left me to go back to WoW. I drove them away, I won't do it again.

No Fuckin' way. I'm not starting a new MMO 'til WAR or AoC comes out. I'm sick of starting or coming back to an MMO and and everyone leaving. Assholes.
I'm actually nervous that so many of you are coming back. I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up.
