Which has absolutely nothing to do with the question that was asked.

Well, you fucking idiot, the question that was asked was "has terrorism succeeded in disputing American's everyday lives." to which the answer is unequivocally yes. While you might not be able to riddle that out from my reply, nearly everyone else on the planet over the age of 3 who isn't afflicted with Down's Syndrome could.

Hope that clears is up for you a little, Skippy.

SEATTLE -- A man who had missed his flight Wednesday said there was a bomb aboard the plane, forcing it to return to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport even though authorities did not believe the threat was legitimate, an airport spokeswoman said.

Man I would be pissed if I was on that flight. I hope the guy got a bill for the cost of the plane having to turn around.

You do see how your statement has absolutely nothing to do with the question that was asked, right? Unless you somehow argue that people vote everyday...?

Pointing to changes in behavior is valid (but then you'd have to show that this has somehow become "disruptive" which was the point Joph was getting at), but how does people voting differently become synonymous with "disrupting American's everyday lives"? I just don't see it.

Um... And that assumes your statements are correct and that people are both voting differently *and* those they are voting for are people they would otherwise hate. You kinda skipped right over those bits as well. I'm sure it sounded great inside your head though. ;)

not what i meant. But to forget that people want to invade our country and kill you is just sad. Its not forgotten by everyone. But the ones that do forget seem to make a big deal out of everything that happens now and days.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

i agree to a point.

this country could not be invaded and conqured. and not because of our government or our military either. the only way you could take over this country would be to buy your way into power, and let the peons continue living their little lives in ignorant bliss................wait........what the hell? its already happened. hehehehe

jk, but seriously, like Churchhill said once, the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

by that, i dont mean we shouldnt be afraid of terrorism as individuals, getting killed by some fanatic is a very real possibility these days. i mean, there is no way in hell any foreign power could occupy this country even if they get passed our military. as a country, there is no threat of an invasion. it couldnt happen unless we let it happen.

immagine some fool standing on a street corner shouting into a bull horn about how they expect us to serve their needs or behave. how long do you think he would last, guard or no guards, before someone offed his *****

and terrorist? they got nothing on our home baked fanatics. those idiots with millions of dollars in resources can barely blow up a humvee. hell, we have people in prison right now that can take out a whole building with a bag of fertilizer, and another who doesnt need a riffle to assinate someone, or even stalk them, he just mails them a bomb.

and who actually DID drop a nuke on a civilian city? not just cry about it, but actually did the deed?

thats right. let em in. all of em. they dont know the meaning of the word "terror". we have people who actually kill and eat other people for the hell of it. and these idiots want to give them a REASON to do it? hahahahaha

nope. the only real threat facing this country is some lone fool or small group of fools killing a bunch of civilians. and that wont stop this country, or even slow it down for very long.

invade us. make our day. this whole issue reminds me of those idiots that wanted to break into fort dix and kill people. the FBI should have let them. but then, mabe the FBI needed them ALIVE.

Because, you know, the people we elect can have influence over our lives?

I know it's a wacky idea, but I'm just throwing it out there.

No, moron, because it does directly, unequivocally have everything to do with the question that was asked.

You having the reasoning ability of a turnip notwithstanding, no one else failed to make the connection.

Um..

Just posting this in place of any of your posts would be equally insightful and effective and save the rest of us a lot of wasted time.

Think about it.

Heh.

I ask you this question:

Have the terrorists succeeded in what they were trying to do (i.e. disrupt Americans lives)?
If their goal was to provide the U.S. government with a whole bucketload of propaganda fodder which could and would be used to terrify their own citizens into accepting and even encouraging said government stripping us of our rights I'd say it was a resounding success.

I dunno... whose lives?

They took a lighter away from me once at the airport. Not too disrupting though.
I have to take off my metal buckled belt and shoes, thank you.
