I dunno... whose lives?

They took a lighter away from me once at the airport. Not too disrupting though.

You're right, maybe we should develop a drug so that we can remember each horrific event viscerally. That way we'll never forget and live each day under the shadow of events.
#10REDACTED, Posted: Jul 26 2007 at 12:55 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) not what i meant. But to forget that people want to invade our country and kill you is just sad. Its not forgotten by everyone. But the ones that do forget seem to make a big deal out of everything that happens now and days.

What we need is a totally meaningless color rating by which we'll know exactly how threatened the nation is that day.

Then we should leave it on "orange" for six years.

You Ameh'cuns are so much more imaginative at coloUr-coding terr'ism.

My offices have been on "Alert Code Black" this week.

Hardly a sexy James Bond-esque sign to have at the security gates.

More Austin Powers

Move to Iraq.

Oh, wait, I forgot, our War on Twats is producing spectacular results and there is little reason to fear day-to-day life in Baghdad. I've been misled by listening to my CBS news all day.

When I was in LA I was so thrilled to get a free bottle of water every day in my room, so I packed it up to drink on the plane. TSA took both away from me, those jerks!

Which is better than the old slogan "Now even more urine soaked!"

And I answer seriously -- not really. Unless you're in the minority who does a crapload of air travel, international finance or something else, it probably doesn't affect you at all. Hell, I spent a year flying regularly into Washington DC and I never really felt put out by it.

You, and most of us here, aren't the average American, though.

Most morons are worried about it enough to vote for people they'd otherwise hate because they are so afraid.
