Didn't they do some obscure extra special Jack Daniels called white label?

The only sooper-speshul Jack that I know of is Gentlemen's Jack, which is aged longer. There might be some other variety though; I tend to avoid whiskey unless it's scotch.

I don't even know what we're talking about anymore. But Oktoberfest by Yuengling is pretty good beer. I'm not sure if it's still seasonal or not though.

I had a Boddingtons not to long ago. At first, it tasted horrible, but then it warmed up a bit and was a damn fine tasting ale.

If I was made of money though, I'd drink Labatt's and Honey Weiss.

Alexander Keith's, the pride of Nova Scotia, is a fine beer.

(I'm grabbing a 2-4 for $18 on my way back across the border to Canadaland in an hour)

Gentleman Jack might be it, I personally only drink Single malts and prefer Irish to scotch. But the real whiskey like wine is very much a personal taste.

I am going to the liquor store, they only sell liquor here. For beer I would just have to walk into every third store in the city.

Meh lucky you. Pennsylvania still doesn't allow beer to be sold anywhere but at beer distributors.

But I get it at the border because I cross every week and it's 50% cheaper.

Well it would be a problem if I still drank. But waking up on the other side of the state the morning after a long night of drinking tends to be detrimental to your desire for drinking Smiley: rolleyes

I like the arrows too, but mostly because I'm OCD and always felt the need to rate every post on a page to make it more efficient to hit the "rate posts" button...even if there was really only one post I wanted to rate, haha.

/sigh

Beer and spirits are sold just about anywhere in England, all they need is a licence.

Hell the shop at the bottom of my street sells just about any spirit or beer you could ask for apart from cheesy foriegn imports.

I remember that from that brief hell that was living in NJ getting my masters at Rutgers, all liquor and beer was from Package Stores and Bars only. Even most restuarants could not sell, though you were allowed to bring your own, or maybe not and it just was not enforced. That plus bars closing at 1 AM, and they do not even let you order 2 beers at last call and then sit around for an hour drinking them like most bars in NY would at 4 AM.
