Seriously, this has got to be the best 3 dollars I've ever spent. The cat is exhausted, which means no scratching at the girly and me while we're trying to sleep. I don't think I've ever seen the little guy so tuckered out before. Finally a night of peace and quiet!

I highly recommend laser pointers to all feline aficionados.

Did you just tape the Frikken " " Lazer Beam " " to kitty's head, or surgically graft it?

Anywho, sounds fun if you can't afford sharks

Alternatively, you could shine the laser right into Kitty's eyes and then he/she won't be able to see or scratch you and the girly at night.

Yay!

Just keep in mind of the possible danger of taxoplasmosis for the pregnancy.

2 of my cats are too lazy to play with the laser pointer. The other 2 go nuts. Best is when I point the laser on one cat and the other cat goes to town on the first cat and hilarity ensues.

My son has a toy gun with a "laser sight" which is just a flashlight bulb with a red plastic filter. The cat reacts to it just the same as a laser pointer but without the (admittably slight) risk of feline blindness.

I don't know how much credit I give it, but I once read something talking about how laser pointers bring out the "chase" instinct in the cat but don't satisfy the "catch" instinct (for obvious reasons) where the cat gets to be all proud that it caught a live bird or a stuffed mouse. They recommended ending laser sessions with a physical toy. Take it or leave it.

an other dirt cheep toy, is a balled up bit of news paper. my cat used to love it. after a bit she would walk away from it and all we had to do was nudge the ball across the floor a bit, and poof she would jump all over it and bat it around for hours.

we even tied it to an elastic string and hooked it to one of the more used doors in the house. every time we moved the door, poof there was the cat.

Yep, my mom was a vet for awhile and she warned me well about txo. We moved the litter pan to our "scary" bathroom - the one my girlfriend never uses. I've also taken over the care and feeding fo the kitten, including everything litter related.

Thanks for the concern though! :)

Just persuade the neighbours' kids that Mice make cool pets.

Kitty will be pleased

Smiley: oyveyCat shrink column was it?

How do people come up with this stuff - a candid interview with a cat, feline hypnosis, a carefully conducted survey of randomly selected cats, (notice three examples).

Remember the Meow Mix commercial?....you will now.

Meow, meow meow meow. Meow, meow meow meow. Meow meow, meow meow, meow, meow meow meow.

Do you think dogs are happy?

I prefer a large stick. Best cat I ever had made it an hour and a half though. What's your secret?

I used to wear my cat and my dog out with a laser. It got to where anytime I would pick it up, they would hear the keychain on it and come running immediately. No matter where they were and how quietly I picked it up they could hear it.

We buried it when the dog died. It was very sad.
