Live Earth: Big flip or Biggest flop?Follow

#1 Jul 10 2007 at 1:38 PM Rating: Sub-Default
Yes you liberal global warming hippies, your concert Live Earth was a total disaster ratings wise. A rerun of the movie Monsters Inc beat it exponentially and so did an old episode of "Cops". The world is finally realizing the real science behind global warming is it's Natural and not man made. After all, scientists now agree it was 10 degrees hotter on average about a million years ago than it is now. But wait... There were no cars and jets a million years ago... right?

Ahhh I love when the real science prevails!!

So, the ratings of a music show validates or invalidates scientific theory?

Interesting.

Looks like it.

Anyone remember when Monty Python had noted historian Kenneth Clarke go head to head with Jack Bodell in 3 rounds of boxing to confirm whether the renaissance was in fact the apotheosis of higher thinking and piety embodying man's higher aspirations?

Just me then.

Live Earth was a joke. I was seriously ashamed. Rock stars flown in by private jets, people lik Madonna preaching to the converted, it was a sham. The whole event wasn't even carbon neutral.

I know it's all about awareness, but the only message seemed to be that partying while screaming "Save the planet" is somehow a solution to this problem.

Next time, they might as well organise a huge 4x4 rally in the gobi desert. They can paint the cars green, have Lindsay Lohan as a host, and get it all sponsored by Saudi Arabia.

Problem is, doing exactly that enough times would sway public opinion. People are idiots, remember. I, for instance, to bring awareness to global warming am ignoring the GC in the Tour this year and only cheering for Robbie McCewens to win green.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Unless he does it with a broken ankle and a missing eye this time, I refuse to be impressed.

Man, I'm getting good at censoring this truth stuff. Maybe should consider hanging around The Asylum more often.

It sucked in ratings? Did you combine the five or six US channels carrying it with the 100s of channels worldwide carrying it? Someone in it claimed 2 billion people were watching--that sucks at ratings? What's the measuring bar--the world ******* cup?

I watched some of it, seemed okay.

Science, um ever consider that two causes can affect the global system at once, manmade and natural? Hmmmm
