Is all good when you're stoned, but it doesn't really get you anywhere.
For the first time in my life, I've found a "career plan". I have a clear goal for my professional career, and I finally have the answer to "What do you want to do when you grow up?"
I'm 27, so it was about time I found something to do with myself, instead of going from job to job hoping that it might be slightly less mind-numbingly boring this time. It's too late to become a footy player, I'm not cool enough to be a singer in a punk-rock band, And, let's face it, I won't become the next French President.
So, I'm applying to do a PhD in Public International Law, and hope to become an "academic", with all that it entails. It took me 27 years to find what I wanted to do, though.
What about you guys? Do you have a clear idea of what you want to do, a goal, an ambition, a professional calling? Or have those dreams already been broken? Or do you not have a clue? Did you know from your childhood that you wanted to be an IT guy (gabji)/helicopter pilot (Toutem)/Genius of the World (Smash)/English dandy (Nobby), or was it just the least worse option available?
