First you take the numbers and now you add gay little arrows?

This site was some much better back in the day.

Off that **** nub! Back in the day there was no karma. We got rid of the asshats the old fashioned way. We beat on them til they cried or grew a thicker skin.

Yeah, but it still looks f'ucking retarded. Dana must have let the little lady start decorating and the loss of his balls is rubbing off on forum code.

It's not horrible, but there are a couple annoying bits:

1. Put a line/border back in between the info stuff at the left side of the posts and the post stuff on the right side. It's just easier for my eyes to follow if there's a line there.

2. Put more space at the bottom of the post and the sig. Like bottom justify it as a default, with the bottom dropped down automatically to allow at least a few lines between the post and the sig (like 4-6). The way it is right now it's really annoying when someone has a one line post and a big'ol sig.

bonus. And just as with every time you guys make changes, it randomly poofs my firefox session after a relatively small number of page loads. These always clear themselves up after a few days, but it's a bit annoying. No warning. Just "poof!" gone...

I like the rating arrows, but some nice sexy lines would be good.

I don't like the teeny font on the sidebar. AGE DISCRIMINATION!!

Rate buttons work for me, I rated you up, want me to rate you down a couple times to keep testing it?

I also don't like how sigs have moved up to squish short posts now.

Yep, they do look ******* stupid; however, they make it exceptionally easy to rate down people. I don't have to scroll all over the place setting each one to awful and then go to the bottom of the screen to hit the rate button. The level of suck is acceptable given the ease of operation. A fair compromise.

For anyone new to Allakhazan, there is nothing to indicate what the little green and red arrows DO, or are FOR.

I also don't know how they work now.

Previously I had a choice of rating someone up a little bit (say for a witty or amusing post), or rating them up a lot (for a highly informative, relevant, well-executed post)

Now what happens?

I realise the new format makes every post take up less room, and there is a virtue in that, but I think you have either erred on the side of squishiness, or there is a better way to set stuff out, so the left-hand section is not compressed into visual compost.

For instance, the stars are now jammed up much too closely under the avatar. If you are going to have the stars and the post-count/score under the avatar, I suggest you put the stars below the post-count/score. That would work a lot better visually.

Since (I think) the stars relate to the post-count, and not to the score, I would also swap it so that the score is on top, and the post-count below.

The rating arrows seem to be centered with resect to the entire space in the left hand side bar.... but nothing else in the side bar is centered, they all start immediatley on the left margin. The result of this is that the ratings arrows LOOK as if they are way off center to the right of everything else in the side bar, giving a very untidy look to everything.

I would either center everything in the side-bar, or else start the ratings arrow off on the left hand side, so that everything relates well to each other.

And please, add a "Rate This Post" either beside, under or over the arrows.

On the bright side, It's always nice when you know people have put time and effort into improving things. And I like the actual forum page better.
