For anyone new to Allakhazan, there is nothing to indicate what the little green and red arrows DO, or are FOR.
I also don't know how they work now.
Previously I had a choice of rating someone up a little bit (say for a witty or amusing post), or rating them up a lot (for a highly informative, relevant, well-executed post)
Now what happens?
I realise the new format makes every post take up less room, and there is a virtue in that, but I think you have either erred on the side of squishiness, or there is a better way to set stuff out, so the left-hand section is not compressed into visual compost.
For instance, the stars are now jammed up much too closely under the avatar. If you are going to have the stars and the post-count/score under the avatar, I suggest you put the stars below the post-count/score. That would work a lot better visually.
Since (I think) the stars relate to the post-count, and not to the score, I would also swap it so that the score is on top, and the post-count below.
The rating arrows seem to be centered with resect to the entire space in the left hand side bar.... but nothing else in the side bar is centered, they all start immediatley on the left margin. The result of this is that the ratings arrows LOOK as if they are way off center to the right of everything else in the side bar, giving a very untidy look to everything.
I would either center everything in the side-bar, or else start the ratings arrow off on the left hand side, so that everything relates well to each other.
And please, add a "Rate This Post" either beside, under or over the arrows.
On the bright side, It's always nice when you know people have put time and effort into improving things. And I like the actual forum page better.
