Or at least too stupid to raise a child to maturity.

Gist: mother tapes a pacifier to baby's mouth "so it wouldn't fall out", and puts him down for a nap (and then fails to check on him for several hours). Hilarity ensues.

Read it.

Inwardly digest.

This is Republican oppression at work. If the liberals were in charge she'd have been able to afford a Car Trunk for him to play in.

For a moment there, Sam, I thought I was on Fark.com.

Sick people out there. Stuff like this compells me to come closer to agreeing for a parenting license. Not that it would help a lot. But it may just screen out the more obvious fucktards.

Don't think that after -4 hours of sleep and watching your child scream after spitting it out 128 times in the last 2 hours that this idea hasn't come to most people.

Did you see the sentence they want to give her? Ugh.

Sometimes I wish they would be more harsh in cases inflicted by stupidity. Perhaps it would get people to think twice before doing retarded things. Then again maybe not. But at least it'll keep them from inflicting harm upon others with their lack of logical thought for a while longer.

Edit: When insulting someone else's intelligence, it is usually a good idea not to mess up markup tags.

Meh, I just went through that crying last night. Instead of taping the pacifier to his mouth I just kicked my husband at 5 in the morning and told him to deal with it Smiley: lol

Well, see, what you do then is tie it to the mobile so it dangles juuuuuust out of his reach.

Sure, you still don't get any sleep, but at least it's good for a laugh.

On the other hand it's heartening to know there are stupid parents outside of the States.

I hate people sometimes.

We also had 3 hours last night, the wife took it on the chin for the first 2 and a half then i took over, quick sip of water, one violent fart and smile later, asleep. teamwork ftw!

Job done, no dummy's, no tape.

One time I taped a bib on my little princess because daddy's pain in the *** kept ripping it off. She was stronger than the velcro that was supposed to hold it in place. Ducttape ftw! Does that count?

Only if you used enough to keep her in place too.

Next time just staple it on. Either that or go get some button ones, that always foiled my son. Of course, it also really pissed him off... so the trade off was my hearing.

What'd you use, a finger dipped in whiskey? I hear that works pretty well.

Stupidity is relative though. Actually, I'm getting a little sick of the "I hate stupid people" line (like anyone actually likes ignorance). Talking about how much you hate them doesn't educate them, it's just pointless complaining, much like a stupid person's approach to a problem.

Unfortunately I've yet to see someone get smarter for all my telling them how stupid they are. Hasn't worked on me either. If it had, I'd have cured cancer after a month of posting here.

Well, here's the thing. If by some chance a stupid person, or a person doing a stupid thing, doesn't realize that there's a better way - maybe it helps to tell them so. Should it be done more politely? Probably.

This, however, is why I say I hate people, at times. I just stipulate that "stupid" is part of the human condition.

Oh if I didn't see where you were coming from, I'd have to admit to a certain hypocrisy on my own part, because I just did (in a roundabout way) expose someone's stupidity.

The difference is that rather than just saying Kakusaijin is retarded, I pointed out the weakness in that line of thinking, hopefully improving the situation. If you just tell someone they're stupid, even in the context of a specific situation, you really aren't giving them much to go on but your own opinion.

As far as forum banter and humor goes, I don't have a problem with "lol stupid people," but I think that in reality that concept does permeate heavily outside of just being funny. The problem with this world? For every problem-solver there are a million problem-identifiers.
