Congratulations Tarv.

Another name into the ring: John. Perhaps a little simple, but I think it to be an easy going, happy kind of name.

"Panzer?" Only if your last name happened to be Dragoon.

Gratz Tarv! Whatever you do, don't name him Magnus or Rufus! Sickabilly is threatening me with these if we decide to have another and it's a boy. He's been fighting for those since day 1.

Hey tarvy boi

Just to bring you back down to earth. . .

19+ years ago I was feeling like you do, and mine turned into 'Dracoid'
Smiley: sly

On the plus side, he's now entering his 2nd year at a pretty good English University reading Philosphy & Politics, and if I'm honest, my chest puffs out with paternal pride at his achievements just as much as it did when he said his 1st word.

And he still challenges anything that isn't obvious at every opportuinity.

I'm so delighted for you, and hope that your sons bring you the joy mine do

Congratulations Tarv. Might I suggest the name James? Good name, my father's name. Wouldn't have suggested it but having since been father's day here in the states on Sunday, there it is.

I wonder if that would work. Knowing my luck, that would just make him more determined to have a son with that moniker.

I missed this thread somehow but congratulations on the Tarv-Spawn!

I recommend "Metatron" for the kid's name. Or maybe "Megatron". Really depends on which direction you want him to go in life.

You could name him William. Then when people ask him, "Are you THE William Harvey?" he can say, "Oh, yeah, I totally mapped out the circulatory system, babe."

Well mum and baby are home and well, what a stressful day getting them home though!

Firstly they took about 3 hours longer to sort out getting the wife home than it should have, they left us waiting during a shift change instead of sorting us out first, as you can imagine with a three year old getting exremely bored that wasn't much fun for anyone, luckily for us the little one slept through it all.

Then because we were so bloody late, it was rush hour and the Taxi couldn't give us an arrival time, so there we sat for 45 minutes with a newborn and a three year old waiting for it to arrive, the receptionist finally phoned the company to find out what the hell was going on only to find out that the taxi driver had just sat outside the building for a couple of minutes and buggered off again. Smiley: mad

Needless to say there will be a snotty phonecall in the morning.

*edit, phonecalls gallore and it would seem that my loving son felt i was finished and added his own embelishment before hitting post ..... Kids huh who'd have them Smiley: inlove

Jonwin thinks either Jonwin, after a great american cowboy movie star, or Jemmy Legs in honor of your Navy service.

Edit since Jonwin also forgot to tell you and lady Tarv, Congrats on the new addition to your family. He just is too lazy to log on his own computer and find this thread, when he knows, I have forum = 4 as my home page.

Well that's + 1 for my post count. Just don't name him Paul. I never cared for sound of Paul Harvey. O'Neill goes better with Pol.

We are down to a short list of Samuel, Luke or Reece.

I think we must have gone through eveny normal name in exsistance now so we have to just browbeat ourselves into a final choise.

If you're staying with the middle name Royce I'd suggest one of the first two, haha. Reece Royce? No, no, no.

Luke is good. I haven't heard that name in a while. Plus it's a nice homage to the original Star Wars!
